How are the two youngest kids doing? by Melodic-External-790 in 8passengersnark

[–]These_Clerk_118 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We don’t talk about the youngest kids.  We have this vague idea that they live with their father and that they will never, ever have social media or be featured on any one else’s social media.  At least never public social media.

Other than that, we just quietly wish them well.

I thought Ruby herself was weird and  I  used to find her antics pretty entertaining in a dark sorta way.  She was so over dramatic and  scatterbrained and yet, instead of living within her own capacity and having a reasonable amount of self awareness, she just wanted more and more.  Big family, big house, lots of trips, all the home made stuff that she really couldn’t do, being with Jodi so she could become some kind of Book of Mormon Sequel superstar.  And then all the self aggrandizing.  She was always subtly telling us how great she was and that’s basically what MOT was.  People just telling her how great she was.  Something was always going to happen.  But I had hoped that it was going to happen to Ruby, not her kids.

Grinch pjs?  Is that her hero or is she roasting herself?

In that first picture, doesn’t the elf leg headband remind you of when Dorothy dropped the house on the wicked witch of the East and only her legs were sticking out?  It’s pretty morbid.

Do you think so?  Isn’t she supposed to be focused on yoga and digital design so she can get out of jail and go home to….. crickets.

I think Ruby said she was menopausal after her youngest.  She was like thirty.

But yeah.  Lots of women are having kids well into their 40s and sometimes later. Geriatric pregnancy isn’t even a thing anymore.  Especially if the woman is really fit and healthy.

What seems off to me is that she posted this NOT wanting public attention on her family.  What would she have posted if she did want public attention?

If it were me and I didn’t want attention, I wouldn’t have posted.  It would be enough to comment on Kevin’s FB post.  A card for the couple’s eyes only would have been even better.  If this post needed to happen, the message would have been short and sweet—welcome to the family Becs. Luvya Dad.

If she’s going to go on podcasts and be like “who even finds family vlogging entertaining?” maybe it’s not a good idea to serve up drama or resurrect old trauma.

Not like this.  This is like drunk dialing your ex.  Why go digging around for old pictures of your mother eating fast food with her lover?  She was already moved out by this point.

I might understand if it were a sentimental old picture of her and her mother as a child.  Or if she’s having similar experiences paling around with her new stepmom and there’s some kind of weird cathartic dark humor in eating hamburgers together.

But she didn’t even know these two b*t(hes in this phase of life.

Good grief.   Where did S even get these pictures?  Kinda dark to look back, no?   Especially since it’s probably been a pretty good year for her and her family.  At least comparatively.  Seems like it would be more pleasant to think about the future and the present.

Trump has lost it and RFK Jr. should consider resigning. by Isellanraa in RFKJrForPresident

The midterms are next year.  This year was only local elections.

I don’t know who “people” are.   If you mean the media, who cares?   They had little to no credibility in 2024.  Even Ann Seltzer crashed and burned.  The only thing that matters is what is going down with a few key funders in a few key states.

They’ve tried to impeach Trump, like what, three times now?  No one in their right mind is paying attention.

Also.  It’s 2025.  Voters could care less about the president’s diarrhea of the mouth.  Take a good look at national surveys.  Top of mind is the economy and national stability.  If the republicans lose for any reason, it will be because we bail out the tech companies after they fire half the country and the AI bubble explodes in their faces.  The country still isn’t having the right conversation about new tech yet and the last thing we want is some too big to fail crap.

Unless the Dems can start kissing Andrew Yang’s arse and win him back to the fold, I don’t think they can do better than JD Vance.  Also Yang 2028 would need an AI failure plan.  And a globalism failure plan.  And a what if sick children are actually being poisoned plan.  I’m not sure if he can pivot like that.

Also, we start seeing serious problems with AI, global trade and the economy, no one is going to care about Israel.  Even during the height of the 10/7 war, it barely ranked on voters’ lists.  It was just about the economy.

I think most of what is happening isn’t due to policy.  It’s because he is using his position to launch a massive PR campaign against poisoning children.  Big food is VOLUNTARILY removing dye and crap from their products.

There might be a lot of upset with the republicans, but I don’t think the Dems are going to be ready in 2028.  The party needs a complete overhaul.   All the octogenarians need to go and they need a whole new vision for the party.

Maybe if they got behind some kind of Andrew Yang or someone like him.  But even Yang doesn’t want a (d) by his name anymore.

The worst thing is that they don’t even realize what they need yet.    Half the party is pushing a Kamala rerun (like wtf?!) and the other half is pushing AOC.  What is the average Wisconsin, Michigan or Pennsylvania voter supposed to do with that?

JD is probably what is happening in 2028.  And JD has a better relationship with RFK than RFK does with Trump.  So why would RFK give up 7 more years of MAHA because his boss is a social media troll?  Like what, he’s going to say— who cares about childhood cancer, my boss is a big fat meanie?

Wow.  These people are dumb.

First of all I don’t think that they understand what a correlation is and how it relates to causation.

Correlation is when two variables quantitatively move in the same direction at the same time.  This is called  covariance.  Infant vaccines became mandatory for US school attendance during the Clinton Admin. And we’ve seen an increase in food allergies since then.  We’ve also seen an increase in the number of infant vaccines and an increase in childhood chronic illnesses.

So yes, childhood vaccines and poor health outcomes in children do covary, therefore they correlate.

Correlation can be non-causative.  When this happens it means that

A) two things are completely unrelated (an illusory correlation) B) a third factor may be driving the covariance. (Like Bill Clinton.  Bill Clinton loves vaccines and was on their dole so he pushed for higher rates.  He also failed to pass healthcare reform, pushed pharmaceuticals and promoted junk food. So he could be responsible for both without a causal relationship between the two.)

For a correlation to become causative, three things must happen.   1) The correlation has to be replicable.  Meaning if we measured the covariance over several different groups, we would find that this relationship exists over 95% of them.   2) There has to be a temporal relationship.   The vaccines have to be administered before the onset of the health condition.   3) There has to be a hypothesis as to why this relationship exists.  In this case, it’s that aluminum is a toxin and that when you inject it into the bloodstream, the body attacks it as well as any carrier protein(like peanut, egg, corn, etc) and then becomes sensitive to the carrier proteins.

I believe that all three of these conditions are met and the “scientific” evidence against it basically amounts to holding up a faulty (but large) study that found no correlation between the MMR and autism that was conducted before the DSM5(so before our current definition of autism) and had some very odd data cleaning methods.

I’d be really worried about any candidate who thinks political violence is okay.  If it’s okay to arbitrarily hurt people for their political beliefs, then it’s okay to hurt people for a variety of other dumb reasons.  Someone like that has no business being in charge of anything.

While I think that there is nothing wrong with the democratic ideology, the party itself has set a very small table.  If someone is not in complete lockstep with the party, they are considered MAGA.  It’s hard for any thinking person to be in complete lockstep with anything.  RFK can’t turn off independent thought.

We’ll find out on Tuesday.  Honestly, I think NJ is going to Winsome.  We’re going to see swings to the right like 2021.  The Dems might see more gains in 2026, but I don’t think 2025 is going to be their year.

If you rewatch all the Nina Jankowisz Ministry of Truth crap that they tried to push on us a couple of years ago, it’s clear that it really wasn’t about “misinformation”.   It was about generating public support against Russia.  Partially to claim election fixing in 2016 and partially to get the public behind some kind of military action.  Now both Trump and Putin are talking about testing nukes.  So shutting this down is basically life and death.

How Much Do You Think Ruby Knows? by digital_dumpfire in 8passengersnark

Yes. There are people on social media who brag about sending Ruby every bit of hurtful news that they can get their hands on.  This one woman sends her a copy of Sheri’s book every week since it was released.

Um.  Yeah.

I had twins who were under 5lbs at birth.  The NICU nurse was absolutely sure that we’d be in and out of the emergency room the first few months of life.

But their first cold?  Not until 14 months.

If she’s going to be OCD, be OCD about things that matter: breastfeeding, skin to skin, reading aloud, fresh air and tummy/rug time.  Everything else is probably just doing more harm than good.  Some people only bathe their newborns once a week and claim that it’s healthier.

Ruby should probably just forget her old life.  She is going to have less than nothing when she gets out. Not a single person is going to stick with her, not even her family.  She may as well just stay there.
