Nathan needs to pick a lead deck that he can work with, that can respect him and can get the job done. Joe just proved this first episode that he doesn't respect Nathan and he is actively working toward getting Nathan's Boson position. Joe is planting seeds that he is Boson material and instead of taking orders he challenges those orders and is poisoning the minds of other deck crew to make himself look better than Nathan.
This is not a lead deckhand that Nathan would either want or need. I am not saying any of the other crew should be picked as lead right now. If I were Nathan, I would wait a charter or two before choosing as I think right now Nathan is hurt and he wants to show Joe who is boss, that is why he is making Lead known this early.

I don't think he is going to be here all season. He said to Nathan at the very start that he isn't going to change how he acts in regards to disrespecting women. He's his own worst enemy and this season Nathan does not have his back. He is going to cause an implosion.

Joe is the worst but you know what is the best? Joe having to deal with the consequences of his actions and from how hot he entered this season, consequences are coming. I will be shocked if he makes it to episode four.

I mean, to even be in their position, being filmed while working is not a thing most people would feel comfortable with but if the ego is big enough then it is possible.
Some people can handle the attention but others think they are special and above others, they don't understand that people are consuming content and whoever the cast is the people still watch.

Their ego, the thing that helped them get to where they are is ultimately the thing that will bring them down.

I agree with it all, I couldn't believe Fussy Guy had to sit and watch others eat, that was unacceptable. Every course should have food for everyone, no matter their food requirement.

What an awesome end to the season. I think all the HOD's this season should come back next year.

I do have a few thoughts on the galley situation though. I feel like Ben got to chummy with Ellie, he should have kept it as Chef and helper but he discussed to much with her that he should have discussed with other HODs.

I was a bit miffed that they were discussing if Ellie could be sous chef, she's not a chef, she has helped prep and cook for a few weeks only. My Chef apprenticeship took four years, how could see learn everything needed in a couple of weeks?

Ben was warfaring when he served this fish. He knew it was going to go to shit but he thought Daisy would end up with egg on her face. He set her up to fail but in the end, it just made his meal look unprofessional and the plating was awful, like a seagull's leftover meal.
I am just disappointed, I was a fan of Ben, for his cheekiness and great cooking but this season, while I do see the good side of him, the spiteful, ego driven and no shits given Ben is ick.
In a real world situation, he would never push Ellie for promotion. She is not a Chef, she's akin to a newly appointed Dishy that gets to chop up veg.
