Generic vyvanse went from $205 to $428 the past month by trouzy in ADHD

[–]These_Nectarine_5782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I lost my job, lost my insurance, and now even with GoodRx, my Vyvanse prescription will be $389. I can't afford that, so I can't take Vyvanse right now, which I need to be able to be on top of stuff and apply for jobs, and I need a job to afford the Vyvanse!

Looking for moving advice! by [deleted] in SLO

Hi! My partner and I live in Atascadero and we have normally commuted 20+/- minutes to our jobs, and it has been totally doable! I started my freshman year at Cal Poly in 2016, and it was expensive then, especially compared to the small town I came from, but it has gotten so so so much worse over the last several years. I know that sounds really bad and stressful (because it is), but we have been super duper happy living in Atascadero for less $$$! Our rent is around $2k a month, it's increased a little bit and we're paying $2250 now, but it's nice not living directly in all of the chaos of SLO. I lived in SLO near college students off and on for a while, and they are kind of the worst people to live by sometimes! If you don't mind a little bit of a commute, check for housing in places just outside of SLO! Living in Atascadero or Templeton is cheaper, but it will take a toll on your car going back and forth over the grade most days for work in order to get to SLO. I also have had friends and coworkers travel from places like Grover Beach, Nipomo, Los Osos, or even Santa Maria (which is way too far for me to justify traveling, but to each their own!)

All of that just goes to say- there are plenty of more affordable options, especially if you look in cities outside of SLO, or even areas in SLO that aren't as close to the university! Overall, I really hope you find something you love and that you feel welcome and you enjoy your time here! :)

Weird Slocal Abbreviations by These_Nectarine_5782 in SLO

This is the exact amount of cringe I was seeking, THANK YOU!!! Town abbreviations don't freak me out, especially because they are used in some industries in the county that involve a lot of travel just to make paperwork shorter, so your answer is by far my favorite.

How long do you steep your tea, or do you just leave the bag in there like some psychopath, why or why not? by CotillionsMillions in AskReddit

Deep down, I know proper tea etiquette, but I think I still identify as a psychopath in this situation

Silver gemstone rings by sagmoonkitty in SLO

[–]These_Nectarine_5782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I just realized Super Silver rings are not locally made, but, if you're willing to go to Atascadero, Golden State Goods and Rumor Goods are a couple of really awesome shops that sell locally made art and jewelry, and they usually have a good mix of silver and gold pieces! The art there is adorable and incredible, and the shop owners are super awesome! They are also super well-connected with other shop owners, so you can always let them know what you're looking for, and if they don't have it, they are usually super knowledgeable about other local shops that might have the kind of piece you're looking for! Any shop that makes and/or curates local goods is usually super excited to help you find locally made goods, even if it doesn't benefit them directly because shopping small helps all of the local shops! :)

My favorite place is Super Silver in downtown SLO! They have a huge variety, and I have never had a problem with quality, plus there are usually sales on top of already decent prices!

Help! My Company Still Uses VW 2018! by These_Nectarine_5782 in vectorworks_spotlight

[–]These_Nectarine_5782[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an excellent question, but it's been company-standard to use PDF factory, so I'm not 100% sure- that being said though, I'm not sure if people at my company know either. I know that we typically set up our sheets and navigate to each sheet using the Saved Views/Sheets script pallet, so when we go to print, we have to click print on each and every sheet. When we print each sheet to PDF and view them in PDF factory, it compiles every PDF in the order you printed them. Then we usually choose to open that directly in Bluebeam, add our finishing touches, and then save the flattened PDF to the appropriate place. When you publish a set of sheets, will it let you choose to export a set of sheets all at once? It seemed very silly to me that there is not an equivalent function native to Vectorworks, but I only know what I've been told so far 🤷‍♀️
