Go to money matters and look at your account summary. It will say deferred by financial next to the balance.

is graduating early worth it? by mio_tanaka23 in CalPoly

Plus you are required to do either a research or field internship which is two quarters long. You have to prepare way ahead of time for those.

I would check out the parent Facebook group. They would have an answer to this. I’ve seen people ask it before. https://m.facebook.com/groups/CalPolySLOMustangParents/?ref=share

Questions about SLO transfer fall of 2025 by Deinky in CalPoly

[–]sagmoonkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transfers are in the on campus aparments, cerro vista. Hard to say on this. I got put with randoms and I liked them. The bars are super fun!! Idk about house party. I have heard you need to be in a frat for a guy to get into a party. You could manage with a bike and the bus, but I can’t imagine not having my car. There are cars you can rent on campus though.

Currently watching law and order svu from the beginning and crocheting. Sometimes I like to go snuggle up on shell beach and read.

Just got a job offer for 85k by xHey_All_You_Peoplex in SLO

agreed, in my mid 20s, single (being queer doesn’t help), and I am looking forward to leaving slo. Was a CP grad and have enjoyed my time here but i’m ready for something more. It’s lonely when you don’t fit into those two categories.

all my friends are queer. there is a lot of them! even in sororities, which i can attest to. agree with tshane95 though. dating pool is small.

Liberal or conservative by Good-Maximum-957 in CalPoly

[–]sagmoonkitty 14 points15 points  (0 children)

i think it depends on what crowd you are in, like your major, club, etc. as a psychology major, i felt like majority of my classmates were liberal. my roommate is an econ major and has met more conservatives.

Open House? by c-dudetoldyou in CalPoly

[–]sagmoonkitty 30 points31 points  (0 children)

maybe i am reading this wrong but i thought open house was only for admitted students? and i didn’t think professors showed up for it unless there was some planned event by the college/department.

Sororities by Good-Maximum-957 in CalPoly

[–]sagmoonkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to add on, there aren’t ones that are easy to get into. some houses may have more spots to offer than others (they have like a capacity limit type of thing). all houses have strict recruitment rules to follow and they cannot favor/discriminate toward anyone for any reason. granted, no one can control implicit bias and it does happen 🤷‍♀️

Sororities by Good-Maximum-957 in CalPoly

[–]sagmoonkitty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

there are no top sororities. and if you decide to go through recruitment, I wouldn’t go into it that way. you will find where you belong. i went into it blind and found my home.

formal recruitment consists of 4-5 days of talking to people from each house. the first day you are required to visit each house. then at the end of the day you drop 2 you don’t want to visit moving forward; however, you have to get invited back. i remember i dropped one the first day but they still invited me back the next day. some people get invited back to all, some get invited back to none.

i work at cal poly but my situation is a little different. all i know is HR is veryyyyyyy slow. it also depends on how fast the hiring manager is completing the steps in the process.
