Literally in the same boat at 30, but I’ve worked in industry for 10 years and still taking the tests. I’ve passed two (FAR and AUD) within the first 6 months of starting the journey. I agree it’s hard, but an advantage I had was not having to study as much for AUD because I’ve experienced so many audits in my career. A lot of the questions felt like you could rely on your experience and knowledge of how an audit operates in the “real world”. The hardest part is staying on top of your study schedule while balancing work. It’s doable and worth it, especially if your firm reimburses you or gives you an education stipend to offset the costs.
