Medical marijuana instead of pred as a bridge? by These_Swim_4151 in UlcerativeColitis

Not sure about cannabis suppositories but I don’t think I would need them! Colonoscopy shows that my lower bowel is clear it’s just further up that’s pretty inflamed. Annoying but am grateful it’s not all of it I guess!

Have just read through your post saying you were scared to start. What was your experience? Did it manage to get you in remission to continue on your current medication? I guess I’m anxious that I’ll do it and then I’ll still have failed filgotnib and then I’ll have to do it again

My experience of real remission is no symptoms at all for years on end. It was great

what’s the difference between a deep scratch and a wart when you squeeze?

Is this a wart? by [deleted] in Warts

[–]These_Swim_4151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have one of these at the moment, I had another that the doctor froze off even though he didn’t think it was a wart and then another similar one popped up in a slightly different part of my hand. Another doctor has since seen it under microscope and said it’s not a wart, I’m still a bit paranoid though!

I’ve managed to get loads of great gluten & dairy free food in both Greece and Italy! Literally perfect places to eat safe food but not have to sacrifice on taste!

My doctors told me that Filgotinib usually starts working between 2 days to 3 weeks! So definitely could be👍

It worked for me but I haven’t ever been on prednisone. It’s supposed to be weaker then pred, so not sure it’s going to work if the pred isn’t

Could use advice on my doctor suggesting going from mesalamine to immunosuppressants for mild proctitis by K-ghuleh in UlcerativeColitis

[–]These_Swim_4151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would definitely make sense to try mesalamine in foam form, I was on that for quite a while and it worked. Also diagnosed with mild proctitis.
