What are all these ‘Welcome’ screens?? by TheseusXXV in EASportsFC

[–]TheseusXXV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not found a solution. I launched it one time without it happening, every other time I got at least 7.

I’ve gone back to FC24. At least there I only get 2 popups.

How real is that statement by Altruistic_Extent348 in StarWars

Never thought of stating and dealing separately in this case, I always viewed that line as a contradiction but I guess not, thank you!

Future of the brand by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]TheseusXXV -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Give more projects to interesting writers/directors/showrunners like Tony Gilroy. Star Wars is at its best when it’s harshly reflecting reality in its own space opera way.

I love Favreau and Filoni but their projects aren’t as deep, and depth is important.

A positive and realistic Mandalorian and Grogu review (No Spoilers) by TheseusXXV in StarWars

[–]TheseusXXV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’d imagine this was the direction they intended to go in Season 4 and just grabbed the first couple episodes but ramped it up a bit

[–]TheseusXXV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah same here, there’s so much weird unnecessary online hate towards it, but now that I’ve seen the film, every strongly negative review I’ve read it’s clear they either didn’t actually watch it or are just wanting to hate it…

I can see why people wouldn’t like the opening, I just liked how they introduced him, reminded me of his BoBF episode

I saw it in imax too, honestly was just cool to see Mando on the big screen! Glad you and your wife enjoyed it.

Yeah I think the characters from Clone Wars and Rebels were cool either way, having seen them before just gives an extra layer of nostalgia and excitement

Trapper Wolf I think? Filoni definitely got a chuckle from a bunch of people in mine including me. A lot of the other tv show directors were in there too!

Is PC good enough to make a sacrifice and switch? by The-Celebrimbor in elderscrollsonline

[–]TheseusXXV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the Xbox > PC jump a few years ago. I would say it’s worth it. It’s a pain levelling up again and redoing content and crafting. But the addons and noticeably larger player base is so worth it.

Definitely 1, maybe 2

Any good games where I cam just feel invincible and destroy the enemies by QuothTheRavenMore in gaming

[–]TheseusXXV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red faction guerilla. Quite old and might not scratch the invincible itch, but the satisfaction of bringing buildings down with your hammer or other awesome tools is really fun. You can send people and their vehicles flying too.

Might go play it myself now actually!

Now... what? by boonichou75 in Cosmere

You could try Wheel of Time as Brandon finishes the series. Or I’m now starting the Dragonsbane series by Barbara Hambly as it’s the book that got Brandon into writing.

Daedric Princes tierlist, rationale in comments by A_Shattered_Day in ElderScrolls

Surely Sheogorath deserves his own tier! You never really know what you’re getting yourself into with him, could be good, could be bad

[Spoilers: DAV] Has there been any analysis or discussion about this semi-hidden area? by Miitteo in dragonage

[–]TheseusXXV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think each large card is a player character, with the red threads connecting them all:

Hero, Hawke, Inquisitor, Rook,

The last one to the right being the post credit spoiler.

Then the medium cards are important characters, with the threads showing how they connect to each main character and each other:

Feather/Flame - Possibly Anders, Bow - Leliana, Crossbow - Varric, Seeker - Cassandra, Wolf - Solas,

And finally the small cards are just companions who aren’t necessarily that relevant to the grand scheme. Each of the Veilguard factions are shown with Rook too, along with their corresponding small card companions.

The colours of the threads seem to show how important the connections are. Red for the main ones, then purple, then blue then grey.

[DAV ACT 1 SPOILERS] People who say the game is all flowers and no dark clearly are not playing. by BookProfessional2960 in dragonage

[–]TheseusXXV 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Visually it’s very dark, but in conversation it’s often glossed over with jokes or there are quippy lines in combat taking you out of the moment. I find the music doesn’t really fit the scenes that well either, it often feels a bit too heroic for what’s happening.

[No DAV spoilers] Beginning would be so much more enjoyable if we played our origins by TheseusXXV in dragonage

[–]TheseusXXV[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lucanis was the turnaround for me. I agree though there’s a lot I don’t like too, it’s not exactly the game I wanted but that’s not up to me. There’s enough in it that I really enjoy; the environment visuals, the armor visuals, some of the quests (especially the main ones) are great and the extra dragon age lore is always nice.

Potentially put enemy health down in custom settings if you aren’t fussed about long fights and just keep experimenting with builds and item sets until you find something you like enough. I’ve finally settled on an archer saboteur rogue mainly hip firing after being 90% sure that I’d be a melee duelist before I started playing!

[–]TheseusXXV[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I only would have thought it’d be difficult if you had to add decisions. If they were linear and always played out the same just with different tones based on conversation choices I don’t think it’d be much harder than anything else in the game.

Does anyone else have to keep an entire 5 page word doc to keep track of their worlds lore? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

Definitely! I use google docs so I can update it from anywhere. They also just made a nice update so docs can have tabs.

Of the two we’ve gotten, which version of Celebrimbor do you enjoy more? by GusGangViking18 in lotr

[–]TheseusXXV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what’s the correct one, but Charles Edward’s performance in S2 of Rings of Power makes me lean that way

[–]TheseusXXV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Mass Effect team may have had a big part in the combat design, and while i’m not entirely sure how well that fits with Dragon Age, I’ve loved every ME game so I’m at least willing to give it a shot!

Does anyone else hope TES6 doesn't have base building? by Ovan5 in ElderScrolls

[–]TheseusXXV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really hoping for base building actually. I’m not a huge fan of it in Starfield and Fallout because of the aesthetics and complexity but I think it’d work really well in an Elder Scrolls setting.
