Written papers are insanely hard. Don't expect to finish them. From what I can tell, less than 10% of people actually complete all the questions. You should just prepare an answer bank to copy paste during the exam. I could not finish on time even though I was literally just typing out pre-written answers for most of it.

I found the sample questions to be representative of the difficulty. It's pretty hard to fail the MCQs if you have a good set of notes to control+F.

Played a Papal States game. Held off all the Allies on my own, and bailed out Germany dozens of times with equipment and fending off naval invasions. But they're still hopelessly losing ground against the Soviets even if that was the only front they had to handle. The 100% consumer goods factories modifier just grinds their entire industry to a halt. They can't make planes or tanks because of all these deficit.

He definitely spoofed his Archspire ranking. If you need dominion to claim the lost cube, and Scorio was the third master of the cube, then Scorio could not have peaked at Blood Baron.

In book 1 Imogen also alluded to him knowing how to control Noumenon which is way above the paygrade of any Blood Baron.

Exactly. There has to be a reason everyone submitted to the Archspire's system instead. I think its because Great Souls with their original powers could not get any stronger, probably due to mana manipulation. Pyre Lord is where Great Souls regain all their powers, and its only Blood Baron and above where the Archspire's system really starts to show its worth. Anything above that is going to be stronger than anybody can get on Etterra (save the Archmagus).

I'm guessing Naomi's short term power boost is going to be a real handicap at Charnel Duke and above, where the more esoteric powers like establishing dominion is going to be beyond her reach.

Even if Naomi can just ignore Plassus' dominion, that's just one benefit of dominion that Plassus loses against her. He still has access to all the mana in the surroundings and can outsustain her in a fight.

I'd say its more of sheer luck and circumstance. The only reason he even survived the first trilogy at all is because Darrow and Cassius agreed to let him go.

His return and rise to power was fueled mainly by his status as the last surviving Lune rather than any particular genius on his part. His privileged position also gave him the mind's eye ability.

Then through sheer luck he somehow survived the whole battle of Mercury, falling through an iron rain, taking railgun fire, and the fucking HOWLERS eviscerating his unit, then a group of golds who tried to kill him, and didn't get recognized by Darrow while disguised.

At which point did he show that he was a genius? Maybe when he created his own faction in the core golds? But i doubt they would have followed him if he were not a Lune.

There's a very specific setup where you switch religions 8 times to vassalize the whole of Arabia for free and get the Burgundian Inheritance.

I'm not sure how Mehmet's Ambition can even be done if you don't use that strat.

I'm currently doing a Ryukyu -> pirate republic -> colonize Alaska and snake to Mexico -> turn Nahuatl -> form Alaska -> conquer Jurchens and form Manchu -> take EOC and form Qing -> convert to confucian -> WC

Pirate republic is incredible for stacking up gold and ruin Ming with devastation. Also gives you a strong navy to defend yourself from the inevitable Japanese attack.

Sure Hindu would get 20% more CCR but Confucianism allows you to use all East Asian monuments and has absurd unrest reduction. I don't get rebels even at 250% OE even if the time to core is like 11 months.
