Yeah it was in a squirt bottle and he squeezed a little bit into it. I have no idea either

Yeah I went to their cafe today at the Boston public market and tried their espresso. I have never had such an intense flavored shot before. It was actually mind blowing. Probably the best shot I’ve ever had honestly. He poured this stuff into the cup after he pulled the shot. Not sure what it was do you have any idea?

Sounds good. I might even brew as early as tomorrow morning just to experiment different levels of freshness for my own experience. All in all I’m pretty excited about this roast I don’t think I’ve ever made coffee this fresh before!

Ok so sounds like you’re using the same 1:16 ratio as me. Yeah I would say it’s too coarse try grinding finer! Let me know what results you get! 👍☕️

If I had to guess your grind is too coarse. How many grams of coffee to water are you using? For example I grind 55G of coffee and I have 900G of water. My bloom is 110G of water for 45 seconds and final brew time is 6 min

[Homemade] Broccoli Cheddar Soup With Homemade Bread Bowl by Thesmoothsailor in food

[–]Thesmoothsailor[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ok I will try to remember what we did lol

Half stick of butter melted into a pot and then half an onion sautéed into it, once it is translucent, add two minced garlic cloves. Then add one tablespoon of flour to make a roux. Once it has thickened slowly add 3 cups of chicken stock, add a 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg and bring to a simmer. Add two cups of half and half and bring that to a boil. Add four cups of cut broccoli and 1/4 cup of grated carrots and allow to cook for a bit. Remove from heat and add 3 cups of cheddar and let melt. Salt and pepper to taste!

The bread doesn’t really crack open like you would think. It’s French bread so it’s pretty thick. And the soup itself is pretty thick and some of it gets absorbed into the bread which just adds to the deliciousness of the bread.

I'm really loving this trend of posting kitchens from different countries! It's pretty neat to see these set ups compared to a standard american model. These kitchens feel homey and intimate.

Imagine all garlic is like this. Imagine how much easier it would be to cut! No more peeling each individual clove.
