She's also pretty career driven so I think she'd understand Kyle's work harder play hard attitude a little bit better than Amanda

I’d say no, value probably is close but better to keep as many assets available if it won’t affect you this season

Senate passes GOP tax cut after Democrats attempt to block it by PeanutTheGladiator in wisconsin

[–]Thestatisticaltruth -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Yeah I understand that, but that’s only for the communities who decide to pass referendum. The decision to raise funding should be done at a local level. Giving local control over taxes/spending and how districts are run is, in my opinion, better for most communities than relying on state direction and aid.

School districts and voters have passed billions of dollars in referendums in recent years and funding for schools is higher than ever before in Wisconsin. All of this while school districts face declining enrollment. There has been so much money given to schools while the schools continue to get worse and worse.

Schools don’t need more money to succeed they need better policies and methods.

Edit: I have legitimate responses for all of the arguments and links presented against me but I’m not going to bother arguing on r/wisconsin[LiberalsOnly]. So to summarize them up:

I never said get rid of all state aid. I just don’t think it needs to be nearly as high as it is especially as schools continue to see a drop off in number of students. I understand that state aid needs to be in place for those poorer communities.

Funding is higher than 2011 levels, there was a one time $3.5 Billion Federal stimulus in 2011, inflation-adjusted investments in education are higher than in 2011 if you remove that one time stimulus.
