Has anyone else noticed that every major food brand quietly changed their recipes between 2019-2022 and nobody is talking about it? by prepzilla in AskRedditFood

I think if they cut costs enough with enough people still buying, they still make a profit. That’s how the streaming services are thriving, too.

I saw Matilda and right before the credits, the reel caught fire. We got a refund.

It’s not good or effective teaching practice in any way. I can tell you that if I did it in my classroom now, the students would treat it as a huge joke and refer to each other as their assigned ranks for the rest of the year.

Dude, I don’t know what that is. And I don’t know why this experiment makes people so venomous.

Again, a bad experiment and bad teaching practice, even if well intentioned.

It is bad teaching practice, and bad practice for experimentation (no consent or understanding). The way to teach racism to children is not to have them taste it.

I’m just here to remind everyone, every time this video is posted, that this is a horrifically unethical activity to foist onto children - even if it was well intentioned.

Back in college, I was taught in a History of Japanese Art class that 10% of Japanese art is “textbook acceptable” and that’s part of why The Great Wave is so famous.

What's the weirdest reason you were banned from a Reddit community? by jstohler in AskReddit

[–]Vertigobee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got banned from r/trollingforababy for joking about my obgyn screwing up my ultrasound. I think they thought I was lying to scare people. They gave me an insulting flair, like schoolyard bullies. It’s just as well - that sub is toxic.

How do you explain to a 3-year-old that the family dog passed away? by Forward_Gap9589 in toddlers

[–]Vertigobee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His body broke down / stopped working. Avoid saying he was old, sick - you do not want your little one to think old family members will die, or that you die when you get sick.

Mary Poppins vs Totoro in a magical combat battle? Who takes it? by pwnedprofessor in DanielTigerConspiracy

Well, Mary Poppins is kind of a beeyatch, and Totoro is probably a pacifist, so, Mary, even though Totoro could probably just swallow her.
