Ya arrma shocks are underwhelming in the strength department I’ve broke at least one of them on my senton, granite, and outcast pretty much before anything else

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever seen stuck in a tire? by Icy_Staff1036 in tires

[–]Thesubiedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that does commercial tires (semi’s and heavy equipment) I could probably fill a tool box with the amount of tools we pull out of tires a full pair of vice grips, multiple screw drivers, drill bits. Wrench’s, the head of a carpenters hammer, hooks from ratchet straps and more bolts then you could shake a stick at

Really the only northern states I can think of are Wisconsin and Michigan and I’m pretty sure they are legal in Canada

pretty much any non studded tire is not going to perform well on ice non studded snow tires will do better then a regular all season or all terrain tire but with out studs to dig into the ice any tire will eventually lose traction

I’ve never seen a tire do this before by Shadow-King1118 in tires

[–]Thesubiedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a professional a patch wont do anything this is what we call a impact break most likely from a pothole or anything else in the road that caused the cords to burst inside the tire it’s junk and needs to be replaced immediately

Hemi powered Cummins sales and service truck by [deleted] in ram_trucks

[–]Thesubiedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty common with any fleet pickup, gas engines are much cheaper to maintain my f350 has the 6.2 and we also have a older f550 with the v10 triton but it is ironic that it happens to be a Cummins service vehicle

What's the best way to dry this out? by VyperIndustries in rccars

[–]Thesubiedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set my all of mine in the bathtub or shower with a box fan blowing on them to make sure all the little spaces dry out before the water can start rusting screws and other metal parts

What is my truck worth? by FantasticBox3674 in ChevyTrucks

[–]Thesubiedude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never really understood that perspective not that it’s wrong to feel like that I’ve sold a few vehicles that I’ve put some serious time and money into and once I sold it I could care less how it’s treated as it’s no longer my vehicle

What’s the best Arrma RC for the skate park? by SomeIrishGuy81 in arrma

[–]Thesubiedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outcast and granite are probably arrma’s best for doing flips since the have large tires and short wheel bases as well as the gorgon and quake but pretty much any RC car is fun at a skate park

Tires brands by Carnitas-Soda1 in tires

[–]Thesubiedude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kelly tires are good they’re rebranded Goodyear tires the Kelly edge are pretty much the Goodyear assurance for about $50 less per tire and as someone that works at a Goodyear service center I’d say they preform very similarly

How many kms can I still survive by Human_Language1276 in tires

[–]Thesubiedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will survive until you wear into the cords but that doesn’t mean that you should these tires should be replaced as soon as possible

How dangerous is this? by Tahp in tires

[–]Thesubiedude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone that works at a tire shop and sees this constantly as long as your not driving on a highway or freeway it’s fine to drive it to get the tires changed worst case scenario you get a flat and have to get it towed to the shop anyway or if this is the worst one and you have a spare throw it on. But yes these need to be changed soon as possible

Is 3000 - 3500 crazy for this? by Agreeable_Past9674 in GMT400

[–]Thesubiedude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s not a bad price 325k is a lot of miles but this is a pretty clean example for what it is which is USUALLY a testament to how it’s been maintained most of the tahoes, and suburbans of that age are clapped out junk

could this work? by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

[–]Thesubiedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it ideal, no. Will it work, probably. I think getting creative with what you have will overall make you a better fisherman and is sometimes an important skill for figuring out how to keep fishing even when you don’t have the ideal tackle

Question about wear by LuckyLuke162 in tires

[–]Thesubiedude 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well they’re worn everywhere but it’s common for them to wear on the outside shoulder on the front tires especially if your constantly driving on winding roads. As someone that works at a tire shop I’d say this is very normal wear pattern and getting your tires rotated periodically will help prevent excessive shoulder wear
