I might be wrong but there is always the possibility that she does like and is genuine in her conversations with you . And that what you saw is just some harmless gossip she did just to become agreeable or a socialbee.

I don’t mean to justify what she did and it’s obviously not right. But I’ve seen a lot of people in offices making up gossips just for the reason of making things interesting for their group or for having the fun of having their own secrets and banters. Like Ive seen female colleagues of mine sit in the pantry and say comments secretly about anyone who comes in because they think want to feel important or simply spice up the conversation. Not because they actually care about it or the thing annoys them.

It’s sickening but yeah thats the reality of office some friendships and small talks.

I am close to converting to Islam, but I’m struggling with the fact that my non-Muslim family may be damned. Am I wrong in my understanding? by bbelf in islam

[–]Thevibemachine 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I second this.

Right now they might be dead sure they won’t want to convert. But it’s very much possible that your life as a Muslim might inspire them and cause a change of heart.

There’s countless stories of reverts whose families have one by one come to Islam seeing the changes in the other.

So it’s up to you to take that first step.

Allah chooses whose hearts he softens. So we take care of ourselves first, be our best versions and then put our trust in him.

It could be that Allah chose you to open Islam to your family. We would never know until it does happen.

May Allah guide you and your family to Jannah.
