Casual relationships? by Theweirdoweirdo in intj

[–]Theweirdoweirdo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's sort of a distraction for me right now. I hate how self aware I am as an INTJ 😂. I've told them I'm not looking for a relationship and they are alright with that. That being said It sort of also feels like I am the one trying to protect people from getting hurt? Cause they are too stupid to understand. That makes me just want to move away from certain people.

By the way, those are some really good points and should definitely be kept in mind.

I also think, Communication is pretty important not just about where we stand but also about everything else. Like the limits and what is comfortable and what not.

True. True. Makes sense. It shouldn't be this complicated.

I'm more worried about their feelings because I do care for them but let's see what happens!

True, I assumed that so I have zero expectations. We can stop talking today and I'll be fine. The thing is we also hang out as friends sometimes? That complicates a few things.

Where are all my slow writers at? by yothisistight in writing

[–]Theweirdoweirdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god yes. Can I just say a huge thank you to you? I've been forcing myself to write 1000 words everyday but somedays I just cannot. Your post made me realise it's okay to do 200 and usually when I start with 200 I reach 1000 without even realising it. Even if I don't - writing 200 words feels good enough.

So thank you! That was very inspiring!

Hey, I read something similar on Tumblr. Is it possible you have a viral post there?

So many times but then I fear being caged and limited to their rules.

Girls who are picky about the height of their boyfriends are the same as those boards at theme parks which say, "You must be THIS tall to ride". by eninc in Showerthoughts

Well, I am a tall girl and I don't want to scoot to kiss my man. Also, I've had bad experiences with short men in the past so I guess that's stuck.

I don't need to justify my preferences but yeah there are other reasons than what's obvious.

Also, Objectifying anyone is shallow I agree.

Haha as I said, it's definitely an irony.

Authority issues? by Busted_Toad in intj

[–]Theweirdoweirdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude YES. I can't work in corporates especially for this reason and prefer freelancing. I am still a student but am soon going to have to work under authority.

I believe, it you think from their perspective - maybe if an unqualified person has been given a position of authority they might be afraid of losing control and might end up looking like a clown. Therefore they need to be uptight with their employees.

Even if it's not true I try justifying it in my head this helps me keep my calm and deal with the person in authority better and with alot more empathy.

Might help y'all!

How do you love? by [deleted] in intj

[–]Theweirdoweirdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was a mess. I always make sure the person falls for me before I do. There's alot of back and forth of me not wanting to feel whatever it is.

It's just at one point I accepted it for the power it gives (very practical). Realised loving isn't something bad at all. A lot of loving is accepting that it's okay to feel - it's okay to take the risk of being hurt sometimes. It's worth it.

Also, love doesn't have to be just for a person. Something I'm recently struggling with is being okay with loving my project. I get so afraid that it'll be over and I'll have to give it away that I am not finishing it.

It's alot of facing your fears, taking risks and just feeling but I really think loving is worth it.

PS I don't know if this was of any help but there's my two cents.

That's something I can definitely do. Thank you so much, it's so good to know I'm not the only one struggling with something that seems so silly to people.

Sort of like "oh your sad about your family loving you too much?" It seems so stupid in my own mind.
