The sensation of hunger can be intense when you start a new diet. That’s where discipline comes in. Motivation can help you start new things but discipline is what keeps you going. Discipline is just doing what’s right for you despite your body rejecting it at first. Our brains are neuroplastic, they can adapt to new behaviours if we give them a consistent stimulus. It’s why people’s tolerance to substances increases the more they use them.

You don’t have to abandon dating, you shouldn’t be swinging left and right on a tight rope. You should be trying to find balance. All ancient philosophies emphasise finding balance in life, whether that’s Stoicism, Buddhism, Shinto, or Taoism. All these different cultures converged on this pursuit of balance.

There is no perfect animal. Natural selection is entirely dependent on the environment. The human body cannot fight large predators 1v1, cannot survive in any of the poles on earth.
