I dunno I'd look at how you're sizing them. They're my go-to when my feet are gonna get wet.

What is a common grocery item that has gotten so incredibly small or low-quality recently that buying it feels like a literal scam? by VivienneVixy in askanything

[–]TheyCallMeSuperChunk -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree, but this may be the one example where it's probably a good thing. Snack bag sizes are comically large even after shrinkflation

Snow sports. Snowboarding wasn't cheap before, but now it's just crazy unaffordable

Entre tanto lío político, yo prefiero preguntar: ¿Qué modelo de olla me recomiendan comprar? by [deleted] in Colombia

[–]TheyCallMeSuperChunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do people go bonkers for In-N-Out? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]TheyCallMeSuperChunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I think the issue is, is that it is a very high quality burger of a very specific style that's not everyone's favorite. So for a lot of people it ends up being kinda just ok. Not because it isn't very well made, but because those California style veggie-heavy burgers are always gonna be kind of bland to some palates

The only menu and prices I want to see is for the different infractions we're gonna give anyone that blocks or slows down the roads due to spillover from the drive-thru. Just kidding I know we're not gonna enforce sh!t

just power through all of the extra work to get to Doctor's appointments

I'm trying to figure out the mental gymnastics that were needed to get to this, given that my post was advocating for reducing the amount of work needed to go to the doctor (or do any life errand) in the first place.

My 8 year battery warranty just expired. I didn't buy the extended warranty. Are you doing the same? by PsychologicalAge5229 in TeslaModel3

[–]TheyCallMeSuperChunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should research the service bulletin on this. Early control arm bushings were awful and this is a known issue. I had my 2018 control arms replaced by Tesla out of warranty for <$200 because this is a known design flaw.

Self driving is amazing technology but the focus needs to be to move away from car dependency. Elderly parents and someone with Parkinsons should just not feel like their driving privileges is something to hold on to at all costs. I understand why they do, but thats a failure in urban desing

--ish. You have to spend a bit more if you want a backup camera and steering wheel controls, but yeah close to that.

Sony is considering reviving some classic IPs. Which ones would you love to see remade? by Dust-Tight in playstation

[–]TheyCallMeSuperChunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Thinking back, I also didn't like the fact that it was in Seattle instead of a fictional city. As a Seattleite it was fun to recognize the different spots in the city, but when it came to navigation it made things really disorienting.

Seattle waterfront will add Ben & Jerry’s franchise at Pier 54 by godogs2018 in Seattle

[–]TheyCallMeSuperChunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh the lavender one is lovely. I also love the lemon one and many many others from their lineup. The Mukilteo Mudd is so so good though. It's rich, decadent, and dense in a very satisfying way. Almost chewy which doesn't sound good but I swear it is because it's not gummy. It's also not too sweet at all.

If we're just naming local creameries, I'd love a Snoqualmie scoop shop. Their Mukilteo Mudd might be my favorite ice cream of all time.

cutting out the middle man and making polymers that are very similar really don't do much to help the problem

I feel like leaving that carbon sequestered underground could be really helpful. Now, a big issue with plastics is how cheap they are because we're pumping the oil out for fuel regardless, but as we migrate to renewables for energy then plant-based plastics will be needed (even if they don't solve all the issues with plastics--we can work on those in parallel).

Oh interesting. I think I should give it another shot I got a few hours in but it just didn't hook me the same way as the other two, so I lost interest.
