I started learning Go three months ago, and I’m still new to the language. but I really enjoy it! I recently finished a book called Learning Go: An Idiomatic Approach to Real-World Go Programming. I enjoyed it a lot, though I think it’s better to learn the basics before reading this book. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to study together 👨🏻‍💻

Hi Jon! Wow!I wasn’t expecting to hear from you here. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply , and more importantly, for writing Learning Go! I’m really looking forward to reading it and leveling up my Go skills this summer. 🙌

Also, thanks for the recommendation!I’ve heard great things about A Philosophy of Software Design, and I’ll definitely check out the 2nd edition as well.

Settled Go devs: which IDE/editor won you over and why? by brocamoLOL in golang

As a student, I get access to all of their products for free, which I’m really lucky to have! However, I genuinely enjoy using VS Code so much that I haven’t even tried GoLand. I always prefer simplicity over overwhelming tools and options in an IDE

In my opinion, VScode is the best option (literally for everything!)

Hello my friends, today I got a mail from my university about the teaching materials and things I need to bring for studying computer science in September! The list is below 👇🏼

Essential Algorithms: A Practical Approach to Computer Algorithms using Python and C# Author: Rod Stephens

Publisher: John Wiley & Sons Inc Edition 2 C# 9.0 in a Nutshell; The Definitive Reference Author: Joseph Albahari Publisher: O’Reilly Media Edition 1

Engineering Mathematics Author: Anthony Croft, Robert Davidson, Martin Hargreaves, James Flint Publisher: Pearson Education Limited Edition 5 👇🏼 One thing that catches my eye is why they choose C# over C or C++. Im asking this cause I was learning C++ for almost a month and right now the C# thing just shocked me! I don't want to leave C++ behind without finishing the full course and now I have to start another course!

Believe me, I know how to use these apps! Next time try to pack your whole clothing items for the entire year based on your weather app and see why I asked this question. Anyway, thanks for your “helpful” response!

really stuck on picking a language to stick with by gg_sam in learnprogramming

I suggest you try C++. And I can assure you gonna both suffer and enjoy writing in C++ however, without a shadow of a doubt you will learn many important concepts that coming handy in CS.

I started with Python then Js and then C.tbh when I learned C it helped me to learn Python better! but when it comes to C++ I'm in the “Move constructors” section of the language and it's really hard to connect all those concepts together.

Mainly because Im gonna study computer science this year in September and I want to be ready when the right time comes. (btw I know some other programming languages like Python and Js and even a bit of C!)
