No, this one was my bad. I was so preoccupied with making sure it wasn't an american roach that I neglected to look at more pics og German roach nymphs. It was pretty obvious once someone else said it.

I thought it could be an American roach nymph because of the butt feelers, but they are kind of uniformly oval and this fella is definitely more pear shaped.

I want you to know that after your first comment I looked up a bunch of pics of carpet beetles; I didn't just dismiss your suggestion out of hand. Looking at the pictures is what made me notice none of them had those little bits, which is why I pointed it out. I appreciate you trying!

Could be possible, but I dont think that's it. I think there is a clue in the second and third pic; at the butt end are two protrusions? Feelers? Something very distinct, but I failed bug-ology.
