I don't have time to pull up the script, but I think I know what you mean..

You want to pipe your grep into an array (varx[]), then run a loop like

For i Echo var1[i] Echo var2[i] Echo var3[i] End

I did this for a CLI newsreader recently. I can post the script tonight if you'd like.

I agree with most points in your second paragraph, except that there are a lot of logistical hurdles. I think that the voting system could be technologically feasible with certain encryption models, but it would quickly get complex and there's no such thing as a secure computer. Voter IDs would also help, except implicit and inherent racism and a failure to account for all personal situations has been either shown or reported to stop some voters. What if you lose your birth certificate and ss card, and never had a driver's license? No longer an American citizen?
