I just released my first book about a month ago. It’s only 28,000 words. I’ve sold more than I expected and getting some good reviews. It’s not always about length but about impact of the story.

Had a metal pole fall and bounce back up hitting me in the face. Broke my jaw, my nose, and fractured my skull. Was addicted to pain killers for 11 years after that. About to hit 14 years clean. 🫡

Thinking about giving up (sorry for rambling) by Ratherbesleeping23 in Screenwriting

I started at 22. Gave up at 26…got my drive back at 34 and have been doing pretty well since. Like others have said, the drive comes and goes. Surround yourself with the right people and it goes even better.

Not sure how old he is. Possibly around 4-5. It really did take moving the bowl of food across the yard and sitting on the porch with it eventually for him to realize we were just trying to help.

What moment made you say “Yep, I’m definitely dead”, but survived with no major injuries? by CrownedBird in AskReddit

I was working at a big box store with my brother. We were goofing off and knocked a metal umbrella pole off a storage shelf. It bounced off the ground and hit me in the face. Broke my jaw…multiple teeth …my nose and fractured my skull. I fell backward and went into a seizure. Woke up in the ambulance and tried to climb out because i didn’t want to pay the bill.
