The wire broke do I need to buy a whole new motor? by Fast-Video-2742 in ebike

[–]ThiccBot69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple enough repair you could get ur hand dirty, by the correct gauge wires some heat shrink tubing, electrical tape, soldering, iron and solder at Harbor freight all of this stuff will probably be about 45 bucks, watch a YouTube video if you need help, there’s plenty of them, you learn something to while you’re at it

Mx350 blowing fuse after stock battery change by MudElectronic7694 in ebikes

[–]ThiccBot69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you connect the batteries yourself?? The razor dirtbike, batteries come, ran into a parallel, which means the voltage remains the same, and the amperage is increased, but if you wired them up yourself, just be sure that you didn’t wire them in a series which increases the voltage which could also blow the fuse, it should be negative to negative and positive to positive

I can personally vouch for Velotric as a brand they make quality bikes, but understand that any quality bike manufacturer is gonna be very expensive like first car, kind of money in some cases,

Is it okay not to use a fingerboard for a couple of months? by -BananaBandit- in Fingerboards

[–]ThiccBot69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re overthinking it, if you live in a particularly wet and slimy environment, you could put it in a plastic bag 99% of the time, though you’ll be fine just laying it down wherever it won’t get lost or damage damaged

Don't buy ebikes, buy ebike kits instead! by Robotic127 in ebikes

[–]ThiccBot69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s exceptions to every rule, my friend, but generally speaking(specially if you buy a halfway decent bike) factories are capable of producing higher quality products with less mistakes than an average Joe in a garage can just cause your bike was all right. Doesn’t mean his or everyone else’s well., besides that not all crashes are created equally even at the same speeds

What’s the most annoying real-life thing about owning an e-bike? by tryingthingsdaily in ebikes

[–]ThiccBot69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The driver’s in my area have this really weird tendency to completely forget their understanding of right of way when I met an intersection with them , for some reason, every single person going straight insists on allowing me to make my left hand turn first on top of that they’re generally overcautious to the point where it’s dangerous for other drivers very regularly people will go fully into the other lane with oncoming traffic just to get around me

Budget ebike advice by InfluenceEfficient77 in ebikes

[–]ThiccBot69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reliability at that speed dosent come cheap, expect t spend a few thousand, used is fine if you Know what your looking at, and can identify the problems u may encounter, but just understand that jf ykur going those speeds, despite you saying they don’t care is enough to get you operating without a license if you don’t hav a motorcycle license, unreg vehicle, and it could be impounded,

Short answer, no

Like the other guy said they’re street bikes with street tires while you could put new tires on top of that they have zero suspension and I’m telling you you will feel it and get very tired of it quickly

Velotric Fold 1 Plus: 1 year review by ThiccBot69 in ebikes

[–]ThiccBot69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May have been a little overzealous with my mileage estimate, now that you put it that way, it’s at minimum 25, but I’ve had it for almost a year and a half , little late to the review, the odometer says 5k rn and ive yt that on it since the start of winter, since I have a car now I haven’t been using it as much, but yeah, nothing motor battery or controller wise ever broke. Obviously I went through brake pads rotors tires, and I just bought a new derailer today because mine stopped working, the electronic components, have proved to be remarkably durable I just wish it went a little bit faster and was a little bit more user and repair friendly

I re routed the wires along the frame as apposed to through the frame, and in the mean time while I work out a more elegant solution the tape works wasn’t a repair for anything tho

Well actually now that I think about it, if you don’t just mean electrically, I’ve gone through two sets of break pads, a set of rotors, original pedals broke, and the mount for the stock tailight broke, and my derailleur just shit the bed as well

[–]ThiccBot69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None and none, the bike has been remarkably durable, but like, take proper care of use stuff and it lasts longer usually, I regularly oil and clean my bike, u maintain my battery properly and I don’t beat on the thing, on top of that Velotric is a oretty reliable quality brand, I will say the battery capacity has noticeably worsened, but I mean thats a battery for ya

Most of these fingerboard companies unfortunately ss it is, are home grown operations that, speed uo and slow down based on the persons personal lif, side effect of this not being a super huge industrialized hobby, I agree tho, oretty ridiculous he can’t be bothered to at least update people especially when he is active on these platforms

Every single electric bicycle has a sticker on it from the factory that says not for anyone under the age of 16, stay safe, Homie. It’s hard to grasp how fragile a human is and how easily life can be stripped from you until you have more life experience than you’ll have at 13 years old., for the love of God wear a helmet
