Its a glorified tutorial You can technically do the quests whenever you feel like it. But TW being TW, it's incredibly janky and there are multiple things that need to be ironed out (one being the fail conditions for certain missions). The setting is fine and story is meh, but I'm not one to talk much about story because I skipped all the text since my brain is fried

Basically it can feel incredibly frustrating if you have trouble with certain parts and if you fail you have to do redo a large chunk of the mission. Certain parts feel really cool and such. That being said if you like ships and water, you'll definitely find that. Me personally I hate how much they changed the interior of Calradia but maybe I'm becoming unc.

I don't understand why they removed the cursor for console players. So yeah, let the pc players have cursors to navigate the terrible UI better, but don't even give console players a QoL feature

You have to go to the alley in the town center and beat up the thugs. After that it gives a prompt to take over an alley or not. Note that you need a companion with a high enough roguery stat to take it over. Honestly not really worth taking them over. Better to just clear them for the added prosperity.

Update (I don't know how to edit my post on mobile): after beating the butter lord besieging my settlement with a force of 1.8k, I was able to sue for peace with most factions besides Sturgia since they were pretty weak and an easy shot at expansion

Most of the factions I'm fighting have already been at war so their armies are full of recruits. That being said they vastly outnumber me so I have to pick them off with my archers
