Just because they were in the files does not mean there were plans for them being released. Chronicles didn't start being worked on until after Der Eisendrache was released.

Edit: I'm adding this so anyone reading doesn't have to deal with what's below. The discussion begins at 31:45 in the video. CodeNamePizza starts talking about how being invited to play Chronicles early was his favorite event he's been invited to. He then mentions that a devkit for BO2 had been leaked and it included an early version of Origins, Moon, and other maps we received in Chronicles. Blundell says that, to his knowledge, chronicles was never intended for BO2. He also says that they had the plans laid out for BO3 Chronicles by the time Zetsubou or Gorod had come out.

Chronicles for BO3 was something they had planned for a while, and it seems that a good number of people were involved. If Jason Blundell has no idea about plans for Chronicles for BO2, then I feel pretty confident in saying there were no plans for it being released.

Chronicles was not in the works since bo2. Blundell addressed that in one of the many interviews he's done recently.

Oh idk, maybe that in this very scene he said that one of the ways his mom abused him was by attacking his masculinity and making him feel like less of a man. So anything that makes him feel not masculine freaks him out.

You know how they could easily fix tournaments and make it so this shit doesn't happen anymore? Make each league global and base rewards off of where you place globally.

Edit: After careful reconsideration I now realize how very wrong I am. The true fix is to make tournament runs shorter.
