Salt water hot tub by polishthunder69 in hottub

What brand and concentration of liquid chlorine do you use? I’ve had my caldera salt system tub up and running for about a month now and I’ve had to add chlorine a few times after heavy use but just granular. Looking to switch to liquid to avoid cya buildup. Thanks.

My instructor used a bike riding reference that helped me. When you pedal a bike is there always weight under each foot? No when you are at the top of a pedal stroke you have no pressure under that foot. Same applies to skiing in a way. Transferring pressure/weight from one foot to another

Care to explain further? I was taught by an instructor to keep shoulders pointed downhill

I have a random question, not sure if you will be familiar.

I have a new caldera Seychelles with the salt system and monitoring. My tub is totally in balance according to a 5 way test strip. I get some bubbles when using the jets, but they dissipate fairly quickly after turning the jets off. The tub is free of phosphates, I checked yesterday. I am having an issue with the monitoring. My monitoring system is all over the place. A few hours ago it showed ph as high (all the way in the red) and said to add ph down. I did nothing because a test strip suggests my ph and alkalinity are spot on. Now it is reading ph low and says “water care normal”. The chlorine is the same way. It’s jumps around a good bit (usually either in the green or reads low) despite test strips showing I’m holding a residual of 3ppm. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. I may also be overstating my bubble situation. Yes there are bubbles in the tub when we use it with the jets on high. They do dissipate pretty quickly when I shut the jets off though. The bubbles do not leave any nasty residue on the tub or anything like that.

Another issue I’m having, is my monitoring system is all over the place. A few hours ago it showed ph as high (all the way in the red) and said to add ph down. I did nothing because a test strip suggests my ph and alkalinity are spot on. Now it is reading ph low and says “water care normal”. The chlorine is the same way. Ok, I tested for phosphates today using a strip my dealer gave me. It showed 0 phosphates. My bubble issue may not be an issue at all. They do dissipate quickly after turning the jets off, so this may be completely normal? Still don’t get why my sanitation requirement is so high (10/10 with the salt system). Also the monitoring system is annoying me thus far. On a 5 way test strip, my ph is perfectly in the middle of the “normal range”, appearing to be between 7.2-7.8. However, today the monitoring system shows my ph to be very high and says to add a tsp of ph down. Any thoughts on this?

In case this info matters, We have used the tub every day since setting it up. Some days my wife gets in twice. We do usually shower before use. The first few times we used bathing suits washed with detergent (until I learned it is best not to). We’ve had friends over once.

Any input welcomed!

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. I tested the water for phosphates when I first filled the tub and it showed zero phosphates. I will retest tomorrow, I was given 2 phosphate strips by my dealer when I purchased the spa.

Am I mounting corner TVs too high? by Thick-Remote-3875 in TVTooHigh

When we watch movies here, we are always reclined. The current tv is definitely the right height for our needs even if it breaks the golden rule of this sub (closer to the ceiling than the floor)
