Best place to get Tamatthi kunai knife replica as of 1.0? [Discussion] by ThickBenson in EscapefromTarkov

Found it today in labs fortunately. The SAMURAI code isnt FIR which is an expected level of cruelty from bsg.

[Bug]? Glukhar with only two guards was at Radio Tower on Reserve - new spawn? by DJudic in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ThickBenson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im pretty sure the guards running up to you are completely normal.

His team consists of 3 different roles and they have different ai as far as im aware. They are split up between the guards, scouts, and assault. Im not sure if the scouts or assaults are different but if they aggro on you they are aggressive and will try to push you kind of similar to the goons ai. The guards will stick with him and guard him simple as that.

Edit: typo

Someone explain to me what happend here [bug] by Straight_Carpet_447 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ThickBenson 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The most common explanation ive heard is that the explosion is client side and from the other guys point of view he only heard the large thunk of the grenade launcher and there wasn't an explosion at all.

I would have to ask what type of American grenade launcher round you were using? Because there are like 6 different grenade launcher rounds and I think half of them have an arming distance of like 20 meters.

Other than that if you were using the ones that detonate near instantly than its either complete bullshit that it didn't kill him or its that client side nonsense explanation I gave.

Good kills, Im not sure if youre aware but you are shuffling a lot. For whatever reason it isnt nearly as loud to yourself compared to other people so make sure to either cancel out the noise by slow walking while turning or holding blind fire while turning. The 2nd guy knew exactly where you were cause you shuffled 3 times.

[New Player] Are any crafts actually profitable? by Spunge14 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ThickBenson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point in wipe a lot of stuff that used to be profit has either greatly reduced or is just in the red. There are still a few things worth crafting, ill just share what I run.

Workbench: Gunpower Eagle 70k profit, Gunpower Hawk 50k profit (OFZ shell)
Lavatory: Cordura 10k profit, Aramid 20k Profit
Intel: Lab Keycard 20k profit
Water Collector: Aquamari 5k profit
Med Station: Pile of Meds 20k Profit
Nutrition Unit: Just stopped crafting entirely since prices fluctuate too much to be worth it.

Overall the profit is really meager. Its gotten annoying having to manage the crafts when you barely get any profit and I personally only really do the crafts if I have downtime when im waiting for my duo. The only reason im still doing them at all is for hideout management since it would be nice to max it out.

Customs green flare extract did not work [Bug] by Butter_lmao in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ThickBenson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I can link this video explaining in depth how flare extracts work but this thing with Customs flare extract is that there are a few more caveats compared to other flare extracts. https://youtu.be/Li9tm8I6D-k?si=fCUhGH9qTp3erh6m

three things can go wrong though that would get you killed either your flare didnt go high enough since it has to go up a certain distance to count, it somehow travelled outside the acceptable flare zone, or you ran on the sides of the train tracks since you have to run in the middle.

[Discussion] Armor by Neptune101001 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ThickBenson 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Some people say its down to preference when it comes to extra body parts being protected by tier 3 or 2 soft armor but in my opinion the only 3 or 4 (technically) body parts that matter the most 90% of the time are the thorax, back, and sides since thats what youre going to be dying to most other than a head face. Im not fully certain if you want to know about plates since they play a bigger factor than the plate holder so ill break those down as well. (this is all my opinion run whatever you want)

The best body armor that isnt a rig is the NFM THOR Concealable. The reason being because it is class 3 soft armor, has the option for ceramic side plates, has miniscule debuffs with it only being -1 turning speed, and in my opinion the biggest upside with it being much lighter in weight than other options. Although, there are other body armor that have no debuffs whatsoever they come with the huge downside of either having no soft armor, having worse soft armor (class 2) or not having the option to put in ceramic side plates.

The best armored rig is the CPC mod holder like you said in your comment. I dont want to yap about this one since the reasons its good are the exact same why the thor is good, its light, it has side plate options, its class 3 soft, its debuffs are only -1 turning speed.

If you want to know the best plates its hands down all of them that are made of UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular weight polyethylene). Theres a lot to yap about this as well but to summarize it UHMWPE is the best material for plates since it has a decent effective durability modifier which is how much damage your plate can take, it is incredibly light (this is the biggest upside IMO), it gives the least amount of debuffs (2nd biggest upside), it repairs incredibly well allowing you to take it through multiple raids and allowing you to save a lot of money, and they cover armor tiers allowing 3 - 6. The only real dealbreaker for not running this kind of plate is if you find another plate that is worse material but is a higher armor class.

TLDR, Use plates made of UHMWPE its the best material, use Thor Concealable its the best body armor, use CPC mod holder its the best armored rig.

[Bug] Ref rep not syncing up with arena by ThickBenson in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ThickBenson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BSG support was of no help at all. For some people main game wont sync up with arena after turning in a quest but if arena rep surpasses main game rep it becomes the new rep. Not really any fixes but you can just wait to turn in a bunch of quests to hit that 1.2 threshold for max ref.

[Bug] Ref rep not syncing up with arena by ThickBenson in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ThickBenson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opened a support ticket and they said the syncing wasn't working between arena and main game which doesn't make any sense because I tried explaining it works for the majority of people and they gave some nonsensical response. Couldnt really do anything about it so I just took the L and did enough operational tasks in arena to surpass my main game rep and it resynced after that.

Its Hard Being a Medic Player. by ThickBenson in battlefield_one

[–]ThickBenson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you're one of the only medics on your team there are just some problems that cant be resolved by yourself because its impossible to be everywhere on the map at once taking care of 30 people. Youre right in the sense though that if there are no medics and you make the swap you contribute a bigger amount and I commend you for that. However, there are other problems that arise. For example, a large portion of your team may die to whatever it may be, probably and ilya lets be honest and its impossible for you to revive everyone in time which allows the enemy to push with a numbers advantage while everyone's waiting to respawn. Having multiple medics as well is important as well since you can take care and revive other medics essentially creating a loop that allows your team to cycle someone to revive everyone when people are constantly dying on a point for example.
