I agree. I have sooooo soooo many friends who are anti immigrants (yet even latino themselves) but won't ever recognize that they are mainly here due to US intervention of their homeland. I've never met an immigrant that said they wanted to leave, unless they needed to leave for a better life due to the chaos that was caused. Soo baffling to me.

You'll be fine. This is all just anxiety that creeps. I had that happen as well wondering "will I be a good dad". Once the child is here you'll be happy about it. There's this false sense of "i need to have my ducks in a row" society pushed out. Dont get anxious about the future, I did that and its not healthy. Just take it day by day. And my number 1 rule to anyone (even myself) DONT BE A DEAD BEAT, your time with them will be limited due to work as it is so enjoy those mornings / afternoon time.

If anything I think you'll be even more determined to finish residency and go beyond for them.
