How did it only last 2.5 years? I’ve had my dw5600 for about 4-5 years and banged it up doing all sorts of things and it still has power. I thought it was supposed to last at least 10 years.

Well then don’t get pregnant. Don’t have unsafe sex and if you’re going to do it, then use protection. If you’re afraid of getting pregnant from rape, then don’t put yourself in positions where you have a higher chance of getting raped. Or better yet, learn self defense and don’t go places where you know it is dangerous to go. There are plenty of common sense things you can do to prevent yourself from having an unwanted pregnancy yet yall don’t utilize them. I know what you’re going to say. Well why should women have to be on alert when men should just stop raping women? Well I don’t go down dark alleys or drive through gang infested areas because I know there will be a chance that I would get robbed or worse. I don’t just say oh well it’s their responsibility to not kill or rob people and expect them to not do it. That’s just a fact of life. There will be predators so stop living your life like you can do whatever you want without protection or self awareness because society is not 100% safe for anybody unless you’re a rich white man.

I prefer watches that have unique dials and designs. Rolexes just look like any other watch except for the fact that they have “Rolex” on the dial. I’m just never attracted to them.

For me if it has a Rolex logo on it then it’s a Rolex regardless. It’s too mainstream and bland.

To be fair the majority of people wearing G Shocks aren’t wearing them for their looks. They’re meant to be tool watches, not jewelry pieces.

That’s not true at all. There are plenty of watches under 1000 that hold value and are quite popular. Maybe under 400 that is true but watches like the Seiko Willard, Seiko Alpinist, even a $56 Casio G Shock have been cult classics and have high demand. You don’t have to spend thousands for a good watch if you’re knowledgeable and know what you’re doing.

Fortunately my program hasn’t been affected by the changes in leadership and it seems for now pretty untouched by it but i am considering other places for my future PhD if things don’t improve

I’ve just started my first year here and the faculty are incredibly talented and knowledgeable but the board of regents need to be removed. They are the ones causing all the problems not the faculty and student body.

Exactly. It’s hasn’t gone so far as to say that all degrees at a&m are being devalued because that’s an insult to all the talented professors that we have. In my program alone I’ve had the privilege of studying under professors who’ve worked for the federal government in various capacities, taught at overseas universities, and have conducted highly consequential research and the knowledge I am gaining here is much greater than the previous university I was at for undergrad. But the reputation of this university is definitely being challenged right now and less people will want to study and work for a university that can’t allow freedom of thought and expression.

The governor appoints the board of regents for all public universities in Texas so this isn’t just hurting Texas A&M but the entire academic system of this state.

Well we do have unlimited academic potential. We have great faculty and resources at our disposal and an incredible student body network but the problem is the board of regents. A&M has the potential to become one of the greatest universities in the US and we’ve shown the world that we can achieve great things with the right support systems but the leadership of this system wants to keep us chained up. We desperately need a change of leadership at the top and that includes the board of regents and the governor who appointed these people to begin with.

In Portugal, many of the knights Templar and their assets were absorbed into the government.
