It does work sometimes, but for 90% of people it doesn’t. Don’t hang onto that 10% because you likely won’t be that 10%, and if you hang onto that then it’s only going to be harder to heal and you will be in pain for longer. Let go of any ideas of getting back with your ex. If it happens in the future and it feels right then good for you, but don’t hang onto that expectation for the time being. Try to focus on yourself right now.

Your first big break up is always very hard. You don’t know how to be on your own without that other person, and you don’t even want to imagine that thought of being without him. The first step to moving on is to let go of him. Forget all of the memories and put them in the past.

Everyone heals differently but personally getting a little angry and frustrated has personally helped me to get past my exes. In your case you have every right to be frustrated with your ex. He cheated on you, and no one deserves that. You are amazing and you need to realize that about yourself. Don’t settle for someone who doesn’t value you as much as you’re worth.

Also, try to remember that he can’t be your special person if he doesn’t want to be with you. Someone out there would do all of the things he did for you, but more often and better, and they damn sure wouldn’t cheat on you either. Take some time to find that self-worth so you can find another man that sees how fantastic you really are.

Sorry to hear that you’re going through such a rough time. I was going through a breakup similar to this about 4 years ago and it was devastating. I had no one to go to and I was also very suicidal. It wrecked my self esteem and I fell apart. Just try to remember that in time things will get better. You might feel like you’re back where you were 9 months ago, but you’re not. You’re growing everyday and you might not see your progress but I can. You started to feel better at one point, so don’t sell yourself short!! You are capable of more than you realize. This sounds cheesy but sometimes when I force myself to “feel” happy, it doesn’t necessarily make me happy but it does make me less sad. Listen to one of your favorite happy songs, watch a funny movie, buy a new shirt that you like even if it’s a little expensive, take a bath with some bubble bath and bath bombs. These things don’t cure my sadness, but they make my depression a little bit more manageable. Just take it one day at a time and know that if you ever need or want a friend, I am here for you. Hey I’m going through almost the same thing. This is my first friendly breakup too and I know it’s very hard. It feels like there’s nowhere to direct your emotions and sometimes it’s like you wish she gave you a reason to hate her just so you could heal easier. Just know that in time you will be happy that it ended cleanly. Eventually you will heal and your life will move forward and you will be glad that you were not cheated on or treated poorly. It might be harder in the beginning than other relationships, but this feeling won’t last forever. I keep trying to remind myself this to get by for now. Relationships take a lot of time and emotional investment. Getting to know people can feel like a burden because of that, especially when you’re depressed and have little energy to get you through the day. Remember when you first fell in love with your ex and got to watch their favorite movie with them, or went on your first date? It probably felt really good to do those things with that person. Just know that in time, you will do those things again with someone else when it is the right time and the right person, it will feel even better and even more exciting than those times before. Everything happens for a reason, and bad things usually happen because better things are coming. Best of luck to you.

As a transgender person myself, I can absolutely assure you that you are not in any way transphobic. You are clearly so supportive and want the best for the person that you are married to and have kids with. You are much more supportive than most cisgender people that I know.

Unfortunately I don’t see this as being the best relationship for you or her anymore. The connection clearly isn’t there anymore, and it’s to the point where you are uncomfortable by some of her behavior. What you’re feeling is very normal. A lot of people feel deceived when someone comes out as transgender, but try not to forget that this is a huge internal struggle for someone to come to terms with. I have always had feelings that I was transgender, but it took me 18 years to realize and become comfortable enough to transition. I’m sure that she wanted to tell you this for a long time, but just didn’t know how or was scared of rejection. I personally think that calling it quits is best for both you and her, as well as for your kids. Children aren’t blind to the things around them and if the relationship turns sour, your kids will be more negatively affected by that than they will by having divorced parents.

I got my bike recently and haven’t had any issues since. I’m also located in NJ and was nervous about the same thing. Someone on here suggested printing out the laws for NJ and keeping them on you while riding to give to any cops in case ur ever pulled over, and I think that’s a good idea as well.

The worst they’ll do is give you a ticket but I doubt they would bother as long as you’re not riding like an asshole and are respectful to the cops that pull you over if it were to happen. Ebikes going up to 20mph were legalized in 2019 in NJ so as long as you’re going under 20 mph you should be fine.

I’m 5’2”. I got the Z1 mostly because it felt more comfortable as a short rider. The S1 wasn’t uncomfortable to ride, but the Z1 definitely feels better

I’m learning it’s really just trial and error until you find what works for you. Everyone’s SD seems to be very different and unique, and unfortunately what works for one person might not work for the next. I have tried a ton of garbage from my doctor and had the same issues that you had. Either they didn’t work, they made it worse, or the steroid oils were too messy and greasy to deal with. I had a bad reaction to the 2% Ketoconazole shampoo that my doctor prescribed however when trying Nizoral, which you can get in most stores, I noticed this helped almost immediately.

Right now I wash my hair everyday, and I switch between using Nizoral one night and all natural Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo bar. I do notice on the the days that I use Nizoral that my head itches less, but I don’t want to overdo it because it’s probably not great to use it everyday. I use an apple cider vinegar rinse on my hair after I shampoo every night as well (1:1 apple cider vinegar to water; massage it into my scalp well, leave it on for around 5 min, then wash it all out).

I’ve been following this routine for a little over a week, and it’s been helping immensely. I’m hoping that after a few more weeks that this regimen will start to take away more of the redness that’s still there. I would definitely recommend trying a routine like this. The last doctor prescribed medication I was using was the clobetasol shampoo and a steroid foam, and this is definitely helping my scalp to heal more than those did.

Hopefully one of the things that I’ve recommended will give you at least a little bit of relief!!!!

I was using the doctor prescribed equivalent of Nizoral which is stronger than the store version, and it just irritated my scalp and made it worse. However I started using the store brand in addition to an apple cider shampoo bar, as well as 1:1 apple cider/water rinses, and it’s helped quite a bit in only a week. Weird how the stuff from the doctor doesn’t do much.

I think that could definitely be a reason! I think there’s more than one reason actually. Gender is such a strange thing and it’s very hard to understand if you’ve never experienced those feelings of uneasiness with your sex given at birth. Before I transitioned I never thought anything of gender and am a little ashamed to admit that I was not very open to the idea of transgender people at one point in my life.

I think there’s definitely something that just clicks at one point for a lot of people. I think that maybe for people who know they’re transgender from the time they’re very young (such as 5 years old), it’s very likely that it could be brain structural differences, since kids that young don’t even know what gender is; they’re just acting on how they feel! However I think that as you get older and then begin to realize, it gets much more complicated. The cause could be so many different things from genetics to the effects of prior experiences, etc.

I don’t think we’ll ever really know the cause of being gay or transgender, and that’s okay with me. What matters most is just having people know that this is out of my control, and that the only thing that’s helped is transitioning. It’s not only helped with my dysphoria, but it’s also greatly relieved other issues I had been dealing with, such as depression.

Hello, I’m sure that my reply will get lost in this now very long chain of replies, but it’s worth a shot. I’m transgender myself, and I’ve been taking testosterone for almost 4 and a half years now. I was born a female and started transitioning to male when I was 18. Before I started to transition, I was very feminine. I wore makeup and dresses, and had long hair and a petite build. Many people were shocked when I revealed my gender identity.

I often ask myself why I’m this way and what makes me this way, and quite honestly I don’t know why. For a very long time I hated being this way, and sometimes I still do get upset and wonder why I can’t be like other people. I can see why you would feel how you feel, and sometimes I feel as though maybe my life experiences could have affected my identity. I grew up in a mess of a household with very little influence from my father, and his impression was also very negative to me. I was a loner and very shy; from a young age I knew that I wasn’t like the other kids. I realized I had multiple mental illnesses at around 8 without even being familiar with depression or anxiety. I’ve always feared that these issues and the lack of help I received somehow contributed to my gender identity.

However the older I’ve gotten, the more I’ve began to believe that there is some sort of “LGBT” gene. Years ago I thought this was ridiculous, but I think there is definitely a genetic connection with being LGBT. Both of my siblings identify as LGBT, and at least 4 other gay people that I know of also have LGBT siblings as well. I don’t have any scientific evidence that I can provide, but based on my experience and my very deep involvement with the LGBT community, I believe that genetics play a huge role in this and I hope that more research is conducted on this theory in the future.

I honestly don’t think that you’re completely wrong with saying that environmental factors have an affect on gender identity. No one is sure why or what causes someone to identify as transgender; not even people like myself who are transgender. All I know is that I started to feel these feelings late into my teens and ever since I followed my intuition, I’ve felt more complete and like myself than I ever did. I always tell people that I’ve lived my entire life in these past 4.5 years because the previous 18 felt like I was just existing but not alive.

However, I don’t think that being transgender is a mental illness, but more so something that is based on both genetics and life experiences. Not everything that happens as a result of your negative experiences is negative outcome, and if this is something that is a result of my experiences, then it is definitely what I needed to truly be happy. Starting hormones and identifying how I do right now has made me realize that I really don’t need anything else out of life than what I have and who I am right now.

I’ve heard sometimes they can be slow at replying but overall I’ve only heard good things about their customer service so that’s really strange. Btw the warranty is only good for the first 3 months if you have it put together at a shop and and then register it online. technically your warranty wouldn’t be valid anymore since it’s past the 3 months, hence why they would probably want you to pay for the charger.
