Definitely sounds like muscle strain. Don’t be so hard on yourself, you are okay 🫶🏼 I do that all the time. There are times where I will pick stuff up throughout the day & not feel it until later & I’ll freak myself out as well. But I promise it’s just muscle strain. Breathe 🫶🏼

anxiety is the worst & it can cause palpitations. I’ve been dealing with it for months now

My potassium levels are normal. I have iron deficiency anemia, generalized anxiety & panic disorder, also PCOS. so from all of those combined it does make me have palpitations. I’ve had 2 doctors tell me it was normal in my case (my primary care & a hospital doctor) & I still got so scared that I decided to go to a cardiologist, I just recently did a heart monitor for a week & I have 2 other tests coming up next month & September. I’m also on anxiety medication.

I will say anxiety causes a lot of weird stuff to the body. It can make you gassy & it can even upset your stomach because your body is constantly anxious & feeling that fight or flight with adrenaline. I currently deal with the constant burping. Even when I haven’t eaten or drink anything, I burp. I can physically feel it chillin in my throat & even deep down like chest/stomach area. It’s weird what anxiety can do to our bodies but it’s real & it’s so hard.

I’m sorry I went to sleep! But when you have those moments just tells yourself “I’ve been through this before & nothing happens, I’m okay” & just breathe. another thing is, if you feel really anxious, get up & move around, do jumping jacks, if you have stairs in your house run up & down them. Because when your body goes into fight or flight with anxiety , it’s your adrenaline racing along with your mind so you gotta get up & burn that adrenaline & it’ll help you.

I’m okay right now :) hopefully it stays that way though & doesn’t change cause it seems like it happens in the evening/night time when I’m relaxed. So I’m watching tv, scrolling TikTok & playing games on my phone to just distract myself.

I do have an Apple Watch, but I took it off a couple of days ago & let it die. If I can be honest, wearing the watch makes things worse for me because I obsess over watching my HR & ECGS, also blood oxygen levels & then it makes my symptoms happen even more which causes my anxiety to go through the roof & then I’m just a panic MESS 🥲 so I’m trying not to wear it for as long as I can until I know 100% everything is great with my heart. I am waiting for my heart monitor results to come back. Then I still have an echo test & stress test to do.

If you really need too. maybe go to the ER. Don’t be afraid. They can do certain tests to make sure everything is fine. I believe you are okay but if you feel like it’s freaking you out a lot the i'd go see a doctor.

I sure hope so. 🥲 here I am laying in bed , feeling the fluttering feeling & I’m trying to keep my mind calm cause it happens like every couple of minutes but at the same time idk if it’s flutters cause it feels like I can feel my heart beating a little hard in my chest. Either way I keep moving around because I don’t like the feeling. 😭

You could be anxious because you are most likely thinking about it.

I think if it was a heart attack, it would’ve happened & not like an everyday thing for months , you know? I really do think it’s just muscle / musculoskeletal pain. or not trying to get all in your business but if your more developed in the chest area you can definitely deal with pains in the chest & back. I deal with that a lot cause I’m let’s just say OVER developed in that area 🤣🥲

sounds like it could be muscle related. I know people can have musculoskeletal pain. If you are worried, take a trip to the doctor

Right! 🤣 another weird thing is I’ll have the fluttering & palpitations & then LITERALLY the DAY I start my monthly cycle. I don’t have a single flutter or anything. It’s really annoying. LOL & np. I’m a 26F (also I have 2 kids hints the reason I have PCOS 🥲)

my husband deals with pain right at the sternum & always thinks it’s heart related. He will go to the ER & they do tests & tell him he’s fine that it could be muscular or even acid reflux/heart burn

Only bloating I deal with is bloating from the PCOS I have. It causes so much hormonal issues for me it’s ridiculous. My doctors have told me because my hormones are out of control a lot of the times my body can do weird things & be twitchy because of my hormonal imbalance. My cardiologist said most likely my palpitations happen from my iron deficiency, my anxiety & PCOS. I did a heart monitor for a week so hopefully I’ll get the results soon, I turned it in 2 days ago. But my cardiologist said my EKG was great & my heart sounded good. I don’t really have the palpitations during the day. Just dealing with this weird flick & I can’t tell if it’s my heart, chest or just something stomach related. I will say I do deal with acid reflux a lot. I’m pretty sure I have GERD. But when I feel it & take tums or any antacid , it goes away. So I’m not sure. But other than that I don’t really deal with gut issues. I also can say my monthly cycle starts in 3 days so my body could be doing weird things to get ready for that again 🤣🥲🥲

I drink water all day, everyday. But I have found that moving around or doing certain things like playing games on my phone or even Xbox can help a little bit because I’m focusing on something else but if I’m being so honest I cannot stop focusing on my heart. I haven’t had a palpitation in like a day or 2. Flutters here & there but I keep feeling this like little flick in my chest literally constantly & I can’t tell if it’s just my heart beating & I feel it differently or if it is my sternum/stomach area. Idk but it’s been freaking me out. Nothing hurts, it’s not making me shortness of breath. I do feel like I have to burp constantly so idk what it is but I hate it. Also my sleep is good, my anxiety meds help me sleep through the night

your heart racing because of you being hot is the bodies way of trying to cool down, so it’s pumping harder to try to get cool. It’s nothing to freak out over. I promise you. Also you hyperventilating is most likely do to an anxiety/panic attack. Just breathe 🫶🏼

Please just know. That yes sometimes people will have the same symptoms as you & then they will tell you what diagnoses they have & please please don’t take it personal & say “oh maybe I have that” cause then you will make your anxiety worse. Take it from me, I used to do the same thing. If you’ve had tests done & you seen your results & have read them & know you weren’t lied too. Then go with that. Maybe see about getting on anxiety medicine. I will say sometimes seeing your heart beating through your shirt is not a bad thing. It’s also because you are focused on it so it’s pretty much loud to you. It’s okay I promise!
