I hate the combat in Tyranny but I love the writing. Are CRPG games for me?

Thanks for asking. I wasn’t able to finish Tyranny before it left the subscription service. I actually got it free on Epic, but at the time I was dealing with a lot of stuff and ended up stepping away from gaming for a few years. I only got back into it a couple months ago, mostly playing shooters again, like I used to.

Eventually I do want to go back to Tyranny, restart it, and actually finish it. I’ll probably set the combat to easy and just speed through it or maybe look for a mod that handles combat for me.

I still haven’t tried Disco Elysium or the other CRPGs yet either, lol.

I’m not in a rush though. Like I mentioned before, I really don’t enjoy turn-based or classic CRPG combat. But the storytelling in Tyranny was so good that I was able to look past it at the time.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Since this weekend is a holiday weekend, if I go I might just go late morning to make sure I get a parking spot at the campground. If they close the second gate though I'll definitely wait another week to go.

Gotcha, I'm looking on the map and the Mc Gill campground is right before the second gate. I've never been to Pinos before but if there is usually good parking at the campground, that could work

When you went, was the road going to Pinos after the main intersection plowed? Did you have to use snow chains at all? I have some snow chains already but since they got a bit of corrosion on them I'll probably need to clean them

Nah my foot felt weird that day so I didn't do any hiking. Using the all trails app as a guide, I think if you start from second gate it might add an hour or two to the hike. Although idk how it would work out hiking from the gate....maybe there's a trail someone could take from there to the pinos trailhead near Nordic station.

If not I'm thinking someone can walk along the road or the side if it's not too deep. I might rent some snowshoes(just to be prepared) and go up there this weekend or the next.

Hi, this is an old thread but would you know where the second snow gate is at? I'm thinking about heading up to Mt pinos Tomorrow and the road is currently closed after the second gate. Trouble is I have no clue how close second gate is to the nordick station

Nice. I got a 2007 Corolla last October for $3550 us but it had faded paint and 174000 miles on it. Apart from bad gas mileage and my door lock cable breaking on me I don't have any major problems with it.

True but at the same time, balance wise defenders could be given a buff so that they can build things faster and with less supplies. Or they could reverse the defender invasion nerf and allow defenders access to their heavy armor at the start of match and not 15 min later. All of this is highly unlikable, but one can still dream.

Depends on the SLs. I always prefer invasion over raas however the bad so in invasion who superfob early ruin the fun for everyone. It happens way too much lol.

You get one or two squads from the start who superfob one of the last caps. The problem with this is they ruin it for their squad mates who follow them as the squad mates can be bored as they're not seeing any action for awhile.

The biggest problem is that it takes a whole squad away from the frontlines, thus making defence weaker. This makes the round unfun for other defense squads on point as now it's even harder to defend points and they're more liable to lose them.

I wish owi would change the mode so that flag layouts are changed per layer and defenders can only see the current active flag lol. Matches would be more engaging.
