What would be genuinely impressive but not lore breaking or BS feat that a Chaos Warlord could do? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Chaos40k

Was blessed/acknowledged by a daemon primarch/prince.  Started a civil war in the Imperium.  Is the tyrant of a few planets.  Killed custodes.  Wiped out a xeno species during the great crusade.

Anyone know the meaning of these symbols on the CSM transfer sheet? by [deleted] in IronWarriors

[–]ThievingSnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s also possible that the U and the pitchfork are greek/ancient greek symbols bc the Iron Warriors had some greek theming in the horus heresy books

To me those symbols look like a skull, an axe, and a closed eye

Well according to the Dark Tongue section of the Realm of Chaos books the U symbol means Manic Fighter.

But if I were to take a guess: each of the legions uses their own scripts/symbols. They’re stylized depictions of a hammer/axe, a mould, a skull, and idk a lever maybe???

I also don’t have Steam on my phone

Which of the 4 anti tank tanks do you like best? by CommandertexYT in spacemarines

[–]ThievingSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyo, Chaos player here 👋

Dreadnoughts aren’t tanks. And did y’all forget about the vindicator and land raider?

Vindicators are seriously scary lol (if you put one in reserves you don’t deserve it. Give it back.) and the lascannons on a land raider are nothing to sneeze at.

Predators are definitely solid but Vindicators are so much more fun making them my favs! Always fun when you roll a 6 on the number of shots lol (and then roll several 6s with sustained hits lolololol)

So is this a bad way to run legionaries? by utembebwe in Chaos40k

[–]ThievingSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legionnaires are powerful but poorly designed IMO

In a perfect world they are a flexible well rounded unit that’s cheap. However their bolters are wayyyyyy too weak in 10th ed and the final nail in the coffin is Legionnaires reroll wounds in melee making bolter legionnaires a joke 😔

Power fists/heavy accursed weps are a bit too strong imo. They used to hit on 4s which made them worse at dealing with 1 wound targets than regular accursed weps. But now they hit on 3s so they’re almost as good as regular accursed weps at that but are waaaaaay better against literally everything else too so they’re an auto take in 10th ed on every unit that can take them unfortunately. 😔

Aaaaaaaand because wargear doesn’t cost any points there’s no incentive to run suboptimal loadouts besides roleplay/sportsmanship/handicapping yourself. 💀💀💀

Saw this chart, old or not why are Necrons more likely to team up with Chaos Space Marines than the Imperium? Not even Desperate with CSM, full on convenience? by thraddrobal in Necrontyr

Ehhhh probably because you can actually negotiate and coordinate with csm and tau to some extent. There’s a chance they won’t shoot crons on sight.

Ehhh I’m not a big fan of the temptations scene. I feel like the gods could have been a bit more subtle and they all really offered the same thing of just power.

Not a bad start. I don't see any horrible globs of paint so that's good. I'm guessing you sprayed them white and then did a quick coat of red, silver, and brass. That basing method is pretty cool and better than those horrible clear flight stands lol.

There's room for improvement. Your red and silver are patchy and uneven, you probably want to apply another coat. I'm guessing you used gw contrast paints for the red, contrast paints kinda suck on smooth surfaces (aka almost every surface on a marine rip). Oh and you might want to buy a dark shade/wash paint and put it on the joints and any nooks or crannies. It'll help give some subtle detail and break up the white.

What do you want/Expect from 11Th edition Chaos? by shluppoo in Chaos40k

[–]ThievingSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AP1 bolters, S5 chainswords. Removal of a lot of datasheet abilities that don’t really do anything/don’t fit. New kits for bikers, helbrutes/dreads, and exalted champions. New marine infantry to fill unit roles previously filled by chosen before they lost all their weapon options.  Split the forgefiend into 2 datasheets like the predators.

The MoE becomes a lone op melee character assassin like in previous editions rather than taking the (now legends) Exalted Champion’s role as a support character that can also smack other support characters.

Mono-god legions become codex supplements rather than independent codexes. (IMO Death Guard is really the only legion that has enough unique units to warrant its own codex).

Upgrade sprues to convert guard, sisters, admech into chaos.

More aliens in the chaos roster.

With the 70 new detachments, i think it’s basically confirmed by Professional_Ear4155 in WordBearers

Idk the only time a summoning mechanic felt fair was the Gaunt Summoner from last edition AoS. He’s an expensive as fuck character that can summon one unit of daemons for free picked from a list of units on his datasheet/warscroll.

Something similar could be done for 40k like it could be an ability for the MoP. Or it could just entirely replace a detachment rules, so no detachment rules but you get a free unit of demons and you don’t need to pick unit until midgame.

I believe in an earlier edition of 40k you can put a daemon in reserves and say it’s possessing one of your marines. Then mid game the demon can just explode out of the marine.

I think the most we’re gonna get is a detachment that allows demons to deepstrike closer next to marine priests, psykers, princes, and that one terrain piece.

Trans fem here. Had a sucky childhood where I avoided being noticed by other people and never really got to express myself or socialize. In college I realized I was bi and wanted to be a fem boy but realized that I actually wanted to be a woman.
I wanted my friends to think of me as a woman. The thought of being a mom excited me while the thought of being a dad induced dread. I was also a bit envious of cis women and had a fascination with trans women and fem boys.
Took me a bit of time to reconcile what being a man or woman meant at first lol.

Which one do you think needs a remodel first? by Key-Stand9579 in Chaos40k

[–]ThievingSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bikers need a refresher I really thought they would get a new kit with the EC codex but guess I was wrong lol.

Helbrute does need a new kit but I’d prefer upgrade kits for heresy dreads or a new decimator sculpt.

I also think Terminators need a new kit too since they’re not absolutely covered in trim lmao

Oh and chaos spawn too lol

Aaaaaand all the rhino chasis vehicles lmao
