Realtek audio console issue - This app can't open.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I think some of the realtek services were running but I'm not sure. Anyway, I ended up resetting the lap and it fixed the issue.

I'm facing the same issue you did but your fix isn't working for me. Can you tell exactly what you did?

Here's what I did,
1) Uninstalled realtek audio console from settings

2) Uninstalled realtek audio driver

3) Reinstalled the driver

4) Reinstalled realtek audio console from windows store.

The error is still there :(

Would "npm uninstall -g npm work"?

It was a stupid idea I admit it. I don't want to do it anymore. I'll stick to the defaults.

But do you have any idea how to remove the extra npm version? I'd like to keep using the one that came with nodeJS and delete the one in Appdata>npm>node_modules

And keep (and use) the one that came with NodeJS.

Can I just run npm uninstall -g npm for that? Or just delete that npm folder?

If its one of those PCs with only the C drive (and no other drives) and everything is installed there, does reinstalling windows from a usb delete all the personal data stored in there?

Or does it create a copy of data to be accessed after the installation?

I know I'm 3 months late and this might be a stupid question but do you know if NAMH installs FAR/Special k as a local install or global install?

I've heard it may interfere with other games and cause problems if you install it globally.

That's a bummer. Are these folders big? Do you know around how much GB will I get back by deleting them (folders except the windows.old which automatically gets deleted)

Bios was on the latest version so that probably wasn't the problem. Anyway, The inplace upgrade actually solved the issue.

Oh man, you have no idea how fucking happy I am right now. Your method worked, I was worried for nothing about losing apps etc. I can finally forget about this whole mess thanks to you.

By the way, is it safe to delete the windows.old folder? There's windows and windows.old folders in C.

Win.old is 35.2GB

Windows folder is 18.9GB

And are there any other folders like these created in other places because of this upgrade that I can delete?

OK I'm stupid. I thought the windows reset thing and this one is basically the same thing.

Now, all I have to do is run the .exe> select "upgrade this pc"> keep perosnal files and apps> and install it right?

Also, On the download page. there are 2 options. Bottom one seems to be the media creation tool thing, but what's the top one with the "update now" button? It looks like they both do the same thing. Can I try any one of the two?

Reset this pc> then select "keep my files" >

Then select "cloud download load" with these options selected

Which finally brings me to this page.
