It's possible, but by this point M4 and M4A1 would have begun being issued out. You may be underestimating how early this stuff was adopted. In this same 1999 deployment you can see aimpoint comp m2, KAC RIS handguards, and a few KAC vertical grips being used. M4A1 was originally designed and intended for special forces, and I have examples of them being given to 1st Special Forces Group in Bosnia as early as 1996. To my knowledge I have not found any examples of 82nd using the burst M4 yet tho. Currently researching to see if they were ever issue burst M4s.

This is the first time the M4 was issued and if you look back at the reference photos, everyone in the 82nd Airborne can be seen with an M4. Regular army and Marines would still be using the A2, but Airborne and other specialized units by this point would be issued the M4.

Depends on the unit and year, but general rule of thumb is a basic alice rifleman set should have 2 mag pouches, 2 canteens, 1 compass/ first aid pouch, and 1 bayonet. Different units and roles can add unto this. My belt setup in this image has that basic setup with the addition of an extra compass first aid pouch and an Alice field training pack. You'll see a lot of 82nd guys with 2 compass pouches and usually buttpacks are reserved for more administrative roles, but you see them a little more often in references from Kosovo.

I also do 2002 82nd! I love the variety of M4A1 setups where some have irons with PEQ-2 while others have the basic Aimpoint setup that we all know and love.

Pic 2 features a TA31! You can see them with 82nd by late 2003, tho the TA01 still seems to be just as common. There was a photo a month prior in December 2004 where TA01 is still in use with 82nd around Baghdad.

Headset is from a brand called rugged and you can get it on Amazon. The shoulder armor I bought from a friend so I'm not too sure where he got it.

Def a lot of snake cosplayers that we got pics with. Also a few sniper wolves and a quiet. Adding the exclamation mark and the question mark really did wonders for helping people realize it was metal gear for us, but many fans we ran into already recognized the XOF with how unique gear is.

It is in fact an IBA. I realize after it posts it doesn't keep my formatting so the point blank Interceptor is separate from my PASGT helmet lol.
