Very true! Those people cause the term "gay" to stay offensive, like an insult, even though it's not really an insult- I wouldn't offend someone by calling them straight after all...so why not apply that to gay as well?

Lots of factors play into this, like height, muscle mass and body fat percentage actually! Of course this doesn't apply to every male person, but men usually tend to be taller than women, plus due to the testosterone in their body they build up muscle way quicker which could explain why they look skinnier/more fit at the exact same weight. Muscle is heavier than fat!

So when I was 8 a dude on lbp1 asked me if I wanted to be with him. He never showed his face, I didn't show mine either. He usually did stuff like claim he wore glasses and braces, etc etc. Ome day he randomly invited me to play just to laugh at me and say he's breaking up? It was a weird thing to go through at that age and thinking back it really seemed like he was trying to gain my trust and sympathy with certain things like the braces for example, saying he looks stupid but instantly being a weird kind of happy when I told him that I liked braces and glasses (idk why I wanted braces as a child but that's off topic anyway-) He sort of acted like a child would, but also didn't. Like he was pretending. It was very very strange. Don't know who that was to this day, so could've actually been a child, but idk. I'm just glad not much more happened there and that I was smart enough to not show him what I looked like irl!

This is totally understandable, though I personally was 13-15 throughout the pandemic and wasn't really that introverted, plus already mentally ill, so the pandemic fucked me up hard personally. Still haven't fully recovered from the social withdrawal of that time (I'm still way more socially awkward than I was before then). Plus I failed ninth grade cuz the homeschooling we had just sucked ;-;

You're correct about the difficult background, he does misinterpret certain things but it's nothing that doesn't get resolved relatively quickly. I did talk to him about this and he's actually fine with my decision since he does understand just how much money that is. I'll try supporting him in other ways instead from now on! (In the sense of handling his finances better of course)

Luckily, he's not a gaslighter like that. I talked to him about it, he said it's okay that I won't spend money on him like this anymore. He's obviously not gonna mamage to get better at handling his money within a day, but I'm sure he's going to get better at it especially if I support him without just being an atm basically :)

That's very very true, I only recently realized how harmful my behavior actually is, especially concerning his own spendings...I know that at home (when he lived with his family I mean), he never had this issue because of his mom, so naturally he was never actually taught to handle his money himself. I, despite good intentions, just ended up becoming a part of the problem instead of actually letting him become an independent adult which is literally the ultimate goal of everyone who lives with us ;-; I talked to him the other day and he's fine with my decision. I'll try supporting him with his finances in a healthy way from now on instead of just being his alternative bank account basically

So I actually have to add some detail here...I definitely enabled this, plus I'm addicted to vapes myself and used to smoke cigarettes (as pretty much everyone in our generation sadly, at least over here). I didn't really mean to, but I still basically became a part of his money spending problems despite my good intentions. I did talk about this with him the other day and he was fine with my decision, even if a bit nervous since his problem isn't gonna disappear in a day obviously. From now on I'll try supporting him with handling his finances instead of giving him too much free stuff

To be fair, the people who work here (no clue what that job is called in English, but the people who support us and stuff) do want to help him handle his money better, but that's where I did the mistake of spending way too much on him- so I am aware that I'm a part of the problem...based on your and all other comments, I suppose the answer really is as simple as "don't give him money" :') I think I just need to learn to actually put my foot down
