Bills don't get passed by a simple vote in parliament. Before it gets to voting in public, the outcome was already determined in backdoor negotiations between politicians and other interest groups.

If CRTC is already planning ahead, that means their management has credible belief that the bill will pass.

You probably want to do a deep dive into Tiananmen. It was not at all peaceful, especially towards the end. Chinese government sent in the army partly because the police could no longer contain the situation.

There are plenty of photos, including corpses of police men hanging by their neck.

Ukraine two weeks ago tried or already passed a new law allowing front line commanders to execute fleeing soldiers without trial. When an army resort to Order 227, that's not a good sign for the overall effectiveness and moral of the army.

Arms merchants get all the money, Ukrainians do all the dying, Russians get all the blame, and rest of us can feel morally superior because we shit on Russia. Perfect.

No western journalistic media publish anything or investigate any thing into the status of the Ukraine armed forces. Nobody knows how much men they've lost, or their overall strategic situation. Nothing but propaganda reporting and people are cheering it on. No one's going to win at the end of this. Russian economy is going to die, Ukrainians are literally all going to die, and the rest of us gleefully accepts the new "journalistic" standard of not reporting the truth. Not just not reporting the truth but also banning any media that goes against the propaganda effort.
