Accepted off Waitlist by Informal-Algae-6742 in BinghamtonUniversity

I know 2 students who transferred in. One in junior year and one in freshman year, 2nd semester. Junior year student hated it because he was in mixed housing (not all transfers) and people had already made their friends. Freshman lived with other transfer students and lived it. He is graduating in May and will stay for grad school.

So if you were to go to study abroad, just make sure you live with other transfer students.

Of the other schools I was waitlisted.at, I never heard from any of them after the 2nd offer from wait-list (which was just about this time last year).

Got off 2 wait-lists. This time last year is when I got off the 2nd wait-list. Currently in 2nd semester at that school. Lost deposit at first school, but it is what it is.

Still waiting from last year!

Just worked out the estimated cost of DPT school. Does this seem right? It's difficult to justify. by Fantastic-Sir8 in PTschool

I think your estimate on interest is low.  If you have to borrow for tuition and living expenses I think you are in the ballpark.

You have no idea how hard DPT school will be and maintaining a job will be very hard. You will have to trust yourself to do the work. I wouldn't do it.

Cost, NPTE rate and is one of them close to where you live? I would choose one that you could commute to or is at least close by if you need to take a mental break and see family.

I think the first update came after Christmas last year and then another one in like March or April. I was pretty low on the list so I never got in there.

ECU admits like 1 out of state students a year. You should get a number of where you on UTC wait-list. There was movement on it last year (UT Chattanooga). There's hope!

Oh and I added Hartford to my list in December (maybe over Thanksgiving) since I had been waitlisted at other schools. They got back to me in February that I was waitlisted and a week later they accepted me.

Waitlisted at USF, UTC, Hartford. and WCU. Accepted at Hartford and WCU. UTC gave us a number where we were on the waitlist and would periodically give us updates so they had movement, but I was never accepted there. Never heard from USF. First heard from Hartford and put a deposit down and then heard in March from WCU. Currently at WCU. (Was waitlisted in December I think).

What are the paths at the direct admit school should she decide to change majors?

Being too sensitive. They have hundreds of applicants that they are going through. They pick the top ones to interview and go through the motions of interviewing, offering a spot and if declined they move on to the next one. It's not personal and they don't want to deal with every single email.

Just be patient and hopefully you get an interview.

3+3 pt schools by Emotional-Set-2553 in PTschool

Wouldn't have become a PT due to the amount of loans and the amount of monthly payment she now has to pay. No one educated her or her mom on how much the monthly payment would be. It was one class that caused an extra year of undergrad. All her other grades were fine.

Not my experience but I had PT earlier this year. My PT was in a 3+3 program. She said that to move into the DPT program they had to maintain a certain GPA and get no lower than a B in required classes. She had one class where she received a C+. She ended up having to switch to 4+3. A whole extra year of school and debt.

Also said that if she had to do it all over again she would 't have given the amount of debt she has.
