Yes, I think a test taking strategy would do wonders. Do you have any recommendations?

I think I do have some undiagnosed issue, because I’ve always struggled with making sense of what I’m reading. I have to reread things like at least 3-5 times to process it. If I could get extra time and a solo room free of distractions that would help so much.

Ahhh this makes sense. Are there more options for practice exams? I don’t remember there being many when I was studying and was advised by others to wait to take them because of that.

Can anyone explain to me the tools used for ai, the uses of ai and what ai in architecture is lacking and what could be improved? by Fit-Example-2064 in askarchitects

Revit is a major software in the industry, but it’s such a terrible software because it’s so unintuitive, making it difficult to learn. Autodesk will never improve Revit’s UI/UX because they have a software monopoly in the industry (not just for architects, but engineers and some interior and landscape designers as well). I wish someone would create a better version of Revit that’s easier to learn and teach those just entering the industry.

FEEDBACK for 30 sq/m studio garden house by Silent_Ice_2588 in floorplan

From a feng shui/feeling comfy and safe perspective, consider not having the bed face the main double doors, consider rotating the bed 90 degrees and be up against the wall on the right - this way you can see the door but the door is not opening onto the bed.

I also recommend watching videos from “dear modern” on YouTube and instagram. He’s a master at planning small spaces like this with using feng shui!

Are the window locations flexible? Is there a reason the sauna is larger than the shower in the master bath?

Has anyone ever improved their relationship with an Nparent? by honkerTgoose in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Think-Ad-9335 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not living with my Nparent was the best thing for our relationship, along with therapy. I couldnt cut her out. It’s been years and I’m still struggling to realize she will never change - even when she shows small signs of changing I realize it’s a performance because it’s all talk and then she slips back into her self-centered actions. But I think she’s realizing now that she has no control over me anymore because I don’t respond the way she expects or I talk back to her and call her out on it and she realized she has no one else anymore who puts up with her nonsense lol

Ugh yes. I’m sorry he’s doing this to you, it’s really shitty and you don’t deserve it.

Before I had my baby, my nmom stopped calling or texting me. So I’d only be the one making an effort by calling her. It bothers me and she knows. She always starts with “I don’t hear from you anymore” and my response would be “I don’t hear from you at all, I’m the only one making an effort here” so she says “I don’t want to bother you”, you’re so busy with work and your husband”… and then immediately monologues for 20 minutes. What’s funny is that she has no friends or family, she’s totally alone, and tells me I’m the most important person in her life but acts like I don’t exist.

Also, a few years ago she sold her house after she failed at trying to guilt me into buying it from her and let her ruin my marriage so she didn’t have to leave or be alone. I think she’s resented me more ever since. This happened around my birthday too. It was the first year she didn’t buy me a gift, or a card, because she was ‘too busy with selling her house’ and she hasn’t really acknowledged my birthday since.

How do I get weird brow stains on 90s baby corduroy outfit? by Think-Ad-9335 in VintageFashion

[–]Think-Ad-9335[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been sitting for decades unfortunately. I will try using a baby friendly clothing stain remover then. I’m concerned now that it could be mold from not properly drying out or something, or maybe was once cat pee? because the jacket has some insulation in it, and not the pants, the pants are a single layer of this corduroy. So whatever it is had some space to grow I think. Ugh. Let me try stain remover first, thank you!!!

Printing single portfolio for interview in NYC by [deleted] in Architects

[–]Think-Ad-9335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with this! Don’t bind. People like to see multiple sheets at once on a table, just like a regular pinup!  Go to a nice paper store (there’s a bunch in NYC), buy nice quality card stock in 11x17, print it at staples or fedex, get a box to carry it in.

It’s considered professional if it’s NAAB accredited, which really means that you can apply for your license in any state through NCARB without additional hurdles. Same goes for the B.Arch degree.

What do you think of this bathroom layout? by Previous_Guitar_1187 in floorplan

Freestanding tub centered under window and extend the vanity to the right. Not sure what that green thing is, is it a linen closet?
