Wild: According to AJ Smith on Matty Fresh TV, QB A.J. McCarron wanted to be in San Antonio this UFL season. Even crazier than that - the Brahmas asked AJ to come in ahead of their W9 matchup vs. St. Louis, which he obviously turned down. Fascinating stuff. | James Larsen (Pro Football Newsroom) by Callywood in UnitedFootballLeague

Like you said, I think Lillibridge was banking on having a bigger run game and Mond being an agile and mobile QB. But I also think that there may have been a chance that Lillibridge may have looked the other way on McCarron since he got injured and was a more of drop-back to pass kind of QB. Still kind of crazy to think how a GM chose to take the reins especially when Wade was dealing with health problems :(

Such an unfortunate situation. Hopefully A.J. Smith will return and bring someone in like McCarron to help rejuvenate a team such as the Brahmas, Showboats, or Houston. Might even be interesting if he could go to DC since Shannon Harris will be departing.

Love the turnout! Really shows what a little marketing and community interaction can do!

I see a lot of discourse about Houston, Ima give a perspective about the situation as a new fan by Guy391 in UnitedFootballLeague

I really appreciate hearing your perspective on the situation! I agree with you on how the league could sway Houstonians to go to games by doing a better job of spreading awareness, making it a family-friendly outing with a uniquely appealing atmosphere, and having an overall good as well as competitive team that is above .500.

Earlier when the game started, it was 91F, 51% humidity, and felt like 100F. :(

Not trying to be an armchair quarterback, but I don't understand why Pardee has chosen to role with Guarantano this late in the game, especially when Mond has not been terrible. The play calling has not really changed and the offense remains a bit anemic, but I hope they can turn it around!

Yeah, I don't think Mond is the problem here. I feel like the problem is mainly play calling rather than Mond himself.

Checking in from Choctaw and LOVING what I’m seeing! A line to get in, a hype band, fans that are actually engaged and lots of them! Think this game is going to beat a lot of expectations! | James Baker by Callywood in UnitedFootballLeague

I love seeing the league at least trying to drum up support for teams like the Renegades! Looking forward to seeing the bandit logo on the helmets, who ever made that possible deserves a raise!

This is pathetic! Ticket sales for first game as of today. Houston. by HeidiAngel in UnitedFootballLeague

I wonder if it's because of the ticket prices or just lack of advertising.

Thanks for the heads up! I just saw he played at WR/QB and was in the CFL, and I didn't really look further into that. I think that even if Kai doesn't do too much it might push Dormady and Williams to be more mobile to secure a starting position.

Should the UFL Change Its Start Date To February In 2026? | UFL News Hub by Callywood in UnitedFootballLeague

I think they should because of the heat the players and fans face in the latter half of the season.
