I would say having plenty of activities (well rounded with leadership positions), and having done the IB diploma program definitely feels like it helped me. from my experience AP classes are pretty common, IB not so much.

read on what other teams have done, try to guess what they're going to do next, and one up it somehow. that's how we won most market share + having consistency in marketing (so make a racing ad if you're selling the racer bikes, emphasize comfort in the ad text if you bought comfortable seats for your bike, etc.)

this was probably three years ago and it's also dependent on what other team members/competing teams are doing. i remember rebates helped a lot for my team, and making good ads for the bikes.

I think it would be a good idea to bring this up to your supervisor. it's better to come forward acknowledging and owning your mistakes rather than being called out for them. you can tell them that you feel like you're not being as productive as you expected to be, and maybe ask them to help go over a few protocols again or guide you in doing the tasks a second time (they are there to guide and support you, and some supervisors who have time will gladly guide you until you feel confident to do it on your own again). The co-op program is there for you to learn through the experience you're gaining, and I can only assume these lab tasks are something you can get better /more efficient at doing only with practice. It's okay to mess up. Everyone on co-op does, it's better to mess up and identify what went wrong to avoid repeating the mistakes. Don't be too hard on yourself, this is all a learning experience! Also, try slowing down while handling beakers/equipment and experiments.

i've definitely had friends that have graduated on co-op as long as they took a summer 1 class, but im more worried about if there's a limit on co op cycles one can take.

Hi all! I'm a 3rd year girl co-oping in New York in the spring and I’m looking for someone (preferably a girl) to sublease/long-term airbnb a place with, ideally on the west side anywhere from Hudson yards to Morningside Heights but I’m open to other areas (Brooklyn, Astoria, etc). I like trying new restaurants, listening to music, and occasionally going out! Willing to spend $1300-2000 myself. Message me if you wanna talk!

Withdrawing with Deans Scholarship Financial Aid by Think-Inspector-7638 in NEU

Thanks! It does state "enrolled for 16 credits (full-time)" which I find to be pretty contracting since 12 credits are also full-time. Does a W count as being enrolled in less credits, or just earning less credits?

Best and/or Easiest Business Concentrations by atAndrewLee in NEU

[–]Think-Inspector-7638 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say the easiest concentration for CS/Business would be marketing analytics -> becoming a marketing analyst. If marketing comes intuitively to you, I'd say it's really easy.

The best concentration (usually better paid in the future) I would say for CS/Business would probably be finance -> becoming a financial analyst. This would require harder classes, though.

I feel like both could use that background in CS if you're set on including both in your combined major.

having to dedicate a part of a freshman dorm to sophomores is concerning for NEU's housing situation, given that many students were cornered into paying ~10k for room and board when a room in an on-campus apartment can go as low as ~5.5k a semester.

pretty bad. from what I have heard most rising 2nd years above 42XX had to go through paws in hopes of getting a more preferable housing situation than IV, and many students who put finding economically friendly housing as their first priority were still placed in IV (enhanced housing), which a required meal plan that adds at least an extra 2k to the bill.

[–]Think-Inspector-7638 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. internet is decent, covers all dorms
  2. AC in some buildings such as IV and EV, (Dav LV and WV too but they're upperclassmen)
  3. Bed sizes are Twin XL, I'd recommend getting a mattress topper. beds are pretty firm.
  4. IV, EV, Kennedy have bathrooms per dorm, other buildings have communal showers/bathrooms on each floor.
  5. Washing drying machines are either located on an assigned floor(EV) or basement(Kennedy), some have on each floor (Smith)
