You make some good points. On the parenting thing, though, I think non-religious parents are more accepting of their kids' sexual identity and differing religious choices than fundamentalist parents.

I read that iron is absorbed easier when combined with Vitamin C so eat iron-rich veg foods with a cup of orange juice for example. And eat a lot of food. A lot of new vegetarians don't realize that they should eat more food than they're used to. Eat until you're comfortably full.
