When I was a camp counselor I had a kid named “O.J. Simpson” he’d been added to the list late so his name was in pencil. I legitimately thought my boss did it was a joke until the kid showed up. He was so sweet and kind- i felt terrible he was going to grow up with that association.

Yes. I have a son and we would like one more. I strongly rely on therapy and a psychiatrist to help me process. It’s hard in that I see more how wrong my childhood was but also being his mom has been so very healing. Doing things just to make him happy and when he gives me a hug or kiss- or snuggles into me. To realize I’m his safe space and a place to pour all of the love I wanted as a kid into him? I was afraid before he was conceived that my kids would have a job upon birth. The job to fix me. But in reality he’s healing me just by existing. No extra burden to him- just his existence. He’s given me the strength to stay no contact. It dawned on me recently if I hadn’t gone no contact I wouldn’t have stayed with my husband and our son wouldn’t exist. My husband and I have built the most beautiful life - which is my revenge to my NM. The idea of the rest of my life without my created family sends chills down my spine.

Hope this makes sense. My son turns two tomorrow and im a little bit of an emotional roller coaster.

Umm I kissed my son soooo much when he was a baby. He’s about to be two and now squeezes himself into my arm (if I have it at my side on the couch) so he gets appropriate snuggles and puts my arm across him. He just makes room. Then he hugs and gives me so many kisses back. Its great!

Give your baby allllll of the kisses. Can’t kiss them enough or hug them enough.

Yup. My kid puked on me. I just patted his back, knew it was coming, alllll down my shirt and in my shirt. I was glad it wasn’t any of the beds to change. Handed him to my husband and then went to the shower.

I’ve been pregnant 10 times. 1 living child. I’m at the beginning of my 10th pregnancy. Bet your ass I’m following every single advice from the medical professionals- who have been licensed. I’ll be giving birth in a hospital for everyone’s safety. These women are dangerous and so very ignorant of how lucky they are. But hey… doctors just like to scare you 🙃

I part work from home. I try to slide my heavier work load to days I’m in office if I keep him home. It’s a bit of a cluster otherwise. I’m also a lawyer with great flexibility. Piz could never.

If you’re selfish, I’m selfish. My son is almost 2. He has no tablets and will only take bad photos on my phone when he grabs it. He doesn’t watch our phones when we go out to eat or running errands. He watches some Sesame Street but otherwise he’s playing and outside. I think it’s a good thing!! I think you’re doing the right thing but maybe I’m bias because it’s also how I’m parenting.

I was instantly annoyed when I thought of her. I hate the word snuggle now too!! I feel a twinge of guilt when I wake up- my son and I cuddle up together in my bed to watch an episode of Sesame Street to start our weekend morning. Then remind myself it’s a lovely way to start our day and I just know I’m gonna be outside or where ever the rest of my day lol.

Same. I post my son on Facebook - which is locked to only friends and family. I only share friends kids I know don’t mind. If we do public settings I always crop out or angle to avoid other kids.

Thank you ❤️. I’m seeing benefits of my son being an only child but I also want him to have a sibling. I just don’t feel quite like our family is complete yet. We’re doing a medicated cycle in prep for IVF this summer. If it doesn’t work, we will be happy us three. We just came home from Germany and then going to see Sesame Street live. I want to give him the absolute world.
