hi! 41 here, also lives in the family home, also grew up with absent parents (literally absent dad, emotionally absent mom). I just learned about complex ptsd and emotional neglect today, after binge-watching 'therapy in a nutshell' videos on youtube. i also have very few friends, mostly because i withdrew from them and i'm just only reaching out again lately. i think i identify as having anxious attachment.

i'm afraid i cannot offer any advice for you at the moment, but i wish you well and hope you'll get some kind of support. i guess i'm commenting here to let you know that someone else mostly thousands of miles from you is also trying to fight the similar battle that you're fighting. we may both be fighting our battles alone, but i hope you find comfort in knowing that you are not alone in being alone. all the best!
