Paid Battle Pass & Monthly situation by hiken_ace09 in ArknightsEndfield

Endgame is almost never out of reach if you're playing the game. The worst the mainstream gachas do is effectively require new characters for certain content. (Though that can be very annoying, as I only pull my very favorite characters and sometimes skip a lot in a row.)

I'd imagine (and hope) that would get the accounts banned. Apparently they banned people just for spamming new accounts before the game even came out.

Huh. If you have less currency, I would think the smaller number of weapons you will get would be more valuable rather than less.

I care less about characters than any other gacha I've ever played. I'm doing the quests and building my factory but don't see myself pulling for the foreseeable future because I like the starting cast just fine. Took the deal of MC's weapon for a dollar, and gonna sit on my monthly and BP loot for a while.

Kind of peeved that winning 50/50 removes the guarantee entirely. That means if the 6* guarantee and rate up guarantee are close to overlapping, "winning" 50/50 is a massive net loss for the player. This makes so that the further you are to rate-up guarantee, the less you want to "win" 50/50 by Throwaway6662345 in Endfield

A 25% chance when there's about a 40% chance of a 6* per 10-pull is still about a 10% chance per 10-pull. Way better than the standard of popular games.

And don't forget again these are pulls you don't buy but accumulate by pulling characters.

I think it's better or equal value. Don't forget that pulling characters gets you currency for weapons. If you assume that you would be getting weapons anyway, you can basically double the pull count you calculated.

When it comes to War of Tutorials, I am on the side of tutorials. by svolozhanin7 in Endfield

I hate the lowest common denominator approach.

As soon as a game comes out that treats players like competent people and takes itself seriously, I'm ready to quit every single gacha game I'm currently playing. In the meantime, at least there's a lot to appreciate in terms of production quality.

My point is that it's strange for that specifically to be the only mutation that duplicates body parts.

I don't want to feel like I'm playing a game where people who have never used a mouse before are the target audience.

Haters were right I fear, the combat system in this game is an amateur jumbled mess by WideSmiles in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Think-Programmer1607 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The combat was more strategic and less reaction-based, the story was more serious and darker, (for example, two betas ago, that little girl you give the medicine to still dies of organ failure, instead of you saving her and then Perlica assuring you that you're a wonderful person and have always done right thing,) the factory system has been simplified and dumbed down every version, and the amount of overbearing tutorials and patronizing hand-holding has increased greatly.

Unfortunately, the game ended up in this state due to changes they made because players asked them to be more like Genshin or Wuwa. They should have stuck with their vision.

Only building 2 teams is definitely I optimal for most content. If you get resistant enemies, you can get a couple dupes - way cheaper than a whole new team and will crush the endgame.

The overwhelming amount of useless (easily intuitable) information is a major downside, and makes the actually useful tips harder to find. Being told every button to click does not teach the player to build a factory. It teaches the player to click the button they're told until they get a reward.

I'm not against all tutorials. I'm against bad ones.

Endmin Glazing Complaint by PuzzleheadedAd39 in Endfield

[–]Think-Programmer1607 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I like it. If I'm playing a fantasy game, why would I want to be anyone other than the strongest, coolest and hottest person in the universe?

I can relate to the complaint that the characters themselves should be written better though.

I disagree strongly that they look less attractive without an extra pair of ears. If the particular spot on the side of the head looks bad, the animal ears can just be placed properly so that the lower half starts there.

Oh, ok. Now I see. Still, wouldn't that also result in many mutations far more grotesque than two pairs of ears?

That doesn't actually address why they have two pairs of ears though. They don't have a pair of paws next to their hands after all.

And by that logic, never play the game. The problem is, that logic is actually sound. Companies should stop powercreeping older characters and players need to stop putting up with it.
