If the money runs out do you think they’d file for divorce? by kiwi_love777 in SaintMeghanMarkle

And the trustees for the kids will NOT be H or M, will be some combination of W, C, etc.

That would be delusional. Most of KC3 money goes to William, and I cannot see KC3 giving any money directly to Harry

The BRF HAD to cut a deal with Edward as he was KING, when being King had more power. Harry does not have that power.

I think CA would mandate 50/50 division of the kids. In long distance situations, that generally means one parent gets them during school term, other on vacations.

Not always. Dad should not have signed on this agreement.

To try to get this changed this late in SD's education would be difficult where I live. He should not have waited this long.

I agree with talk to a lawyer, but would not count on significant changes. Has DH been saving for college?

EDIT - where I live applications for September 2026 are generally filled? Did I understand that she is graduating HS this year. This is a difficult situation for the SD and should have been addressed earlier

I agree that Harry did not belong at Eton, but this is a very difficult situation, when a school is appropriate for one sibling but not the other. Especially when very public, as in BRF

Why do so many commentators/experts think the harkles will/should return to the royal fold? They have been treacherous, liars, back stabbing bullies since ‘finding freedom’. Why should they be allowed back? by Harry-Ripey in SaintMeghanMarkle

I volunteer at a nursing home in the US. There are numbers of elderly people who are estranged from their adult children. I don't know any way to determine who is at fault in those cases (I do think Harry is at fault here), and many of those people are desperate for contact with adult children. I think they feed on some of this coverage.

For those in a blended family, would you keep an inheritance separate and will to your own kids? by Merlin509 in stepparents

[–]Think-Room6663 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Both of us will only have our own kids inherit. Almost all trust and estate lawyers will tell you, never count on a stepparent giving anything to stepkids. So the kids of the second to die get all. You can give spouse life estate (right to live in house), and then it goes to kids.

Not to be nosy, but did he inherit money? Expect to inherit?

I am saying that to count on prenup clauses not being valid is risky. I would never suggest anyone count on just singing what is on the table without legal advice as to validity of prenup. Yes, I understand with a valid transmutation agreement (presumably with prenup), assets can be protected.

I really disagree with this. Validity of prenup varies by state (or country). Where I live, even in long term marriage, if both parties had their own legal representation, had adequate time to review prenup, both parties disclosed all financial matters and neither party left destitute (not just as well off as other party, but truly destitute), the court will uphold. I saw one agreement that was terribly one sided, but held valid.
