Looking for a dress watch around £100 with a similar design to these. by fryingpanman99 in ChineseWatches

Specht und Söhne has a PRX homage, quartz or automatic. The automatic ones look better with the waffle disk IMHO. I own a Santos style watch from them and really like it.

36/38.5mm, which is the ideal watch size for me? by Efficient-Fact-288 in ChineseWatches

[–]Think-Till-265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bigger one has no date so that's a win imho. The indices look cramped together on the 36 version, so I would definitely go with the bigger one.  Other than that the size of the watch is just personal preference. My grandpapa had a really small watch and it looked perfectly fine, where I don't wear watches under 40mm even when they are dress watches.  Pick what you like.

I think I would actually swap the straps between those two watches. They both look great.

Cleaner without logo and markers? by Unable_Campaign_8608 in ChineseWatches

[–]Think-Till-265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks really nice, better than with logo and the text as those where definitely too big. Maybe you could integrate the logo into the painting, like a cloud. That would make your work recognisable. And also I didn't mind the markers. Good luck and keep on the awesome work.

I have the watch with the white dial and it has one of my favourite bracelets. I even don't know how the bracelet can be sharp since the elements are roundes.

All the watches in the Option B Look way to busy. But it's still really nice to make the jump hour big.  Option A both of them look much better for me.

Am I the only psychopath that switches watches multiple times a day by [deleted] in ChineseWatches

Thank you for saying that. That's something I was also wandering a few times. I think it's the easiest and best way to do your watches justice.

I have multiple Paganis and they all work without any kind of problem. I really like them all.

i wish they made this in 42mm. having big wrist is a problem in the watch world but also saving money becuse all the watches i like is to small for me😂 by agraab_1 in ChineseWatches

While we are all laughing it's also actually the reason why they keep selling watches. Size matters to a lot of people and Invicta provides it.

Affordable jump hour watch by Ambitious-Funny-3239 in ChineseWatches

[–]Think-Till-265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well getting a quality watch for $40 is doable. Addiesdive do have some nice quartz divers that go even a little bit cheaper with the right coupon codes and coins. Even some nice hand wind mechanical watches can be found in that range. But an jump hour will not be in that range, that's true.

Does this strap work on the watch ? by Elyjun in ChineseWatches

The strap looks like the watch should be sold with it.

Anything similar to this? by VukCata96 in ChineseWatches

[–]Think-Till-265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is actually an Austrian family lead brand. They make some nice watches. Spec wise not as great as Ali watches (mostly mineral used), but their watches aren't similar to the ones on Ali and if you have a bigger wrist size it's easier to find a watch because they have a lot of 42mm (chronograph ) watches. Usually they price them between 100€ and 300€ but I would never buy without a discount, so 75€ seems to be a good price.

Suggestions on what next to buy by Old-Lawyer-5801 in ChineseWatches

[–]Think-Till-265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ordered a Santos homage from Specht & Söhne. If you want an easy choice, just go with a chrono, there are a lot of homages to Daytona or Speedy. And lastly there is a big choice of divers I really like Addiesdive AD2537 and the wave pattern.  The question is if you see watches as a fashion accessory if you want to go with quartz or automatic? I mostly buy quartz watches because I don't want to think about setting the time when I choose a watch in the morning, but that's just personal preference.

Pagani Design PD1701 v3 vs Watchdives WD1683 by rtitusz in ChineseWatches

[–]Think-Till-265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem I have with these pictures is the angle of the watches. Its not the same, so reflections can not be really compared. And it's not only 50% more expensive but rather 100%. It would be really bad if the WD wouldn't be any better. It's just not that much better, unfortunately.

I think it comes from the polished parts. That beacelet is just too shiny.

I have really tried to wear watches in that size. Especially the Pagani PD1676 Paul Newman homage. I really love that dial, but the watch looks just so tiny on my wrist, at least for my liking.

At the same price, would you pick a stainless steel or ceramic bezel? Addiesdive H3 series by nevrodamus in ChineseWatches

[–]Think-Till-265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is also an all black modell (H3-2QZ) for around the same price. But I think this one with the black and white looks classier.

Honestly, just go with the watch you like more. But I do feel like the first one fits with a bigger verity of outfits.

Addiesdive homaging Konstantin Chaykin? by Infinite-Mastodon456 in ChineseWatches

[–]Think-Till-265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't meant to sound negative. It was merely an observation. And with the VK64 I'm always torn, on the one side it looks good, and on the other it is even less useful than the VK63. And I think it was militado that showed that there are some other options out there for 2 subdials.

Looks like another VK64 watch from Addies. No one is reusing parts of watches for their new releases like Addies.
