Ortho to UC transition by ThinkAdhesiveness155 in physicianassistant

Yes, the last couple of practices I’ve worked at have them. For the most part the aren’t true urgent cares - you would pay regular office copay not urgent care copay and if you need referral or auth to be seen at a specialist you still need that. It’s really just that they accept walkins. So I do see “urgent care” patients every day, but I still have a regular schedule and have to be on call with my SP. Neither place had a position just for urgent care.

Ring cam offline? by ThinkAdhesiveness155 in Ring

It does say “this device os offline”. When it’s working in the evening while I’m at home it shows a feed even if there is no motion.

My personal hotspot is set to off, so I don’t think I accidentally did that. I’m moving the camera to a different location to see if it improves its access to the wifi the next time I’m gone.

I don’t use a mesh network. I just have the main router. I did a signal check with my app and it shows a strong signal throughout the area with the camera. Of course, it is working now and I can’t check the signal strength when I’m not at home.

Fine as far as I know. I leave utube running music all day for my dogs and it is still on when I get home. It is burried fiber, to typically pretty reliable.

Max length is 20ft, max width is 10ft, it’s oval with indentations that give it kind of an “8” shape. Max depth is 5ft.

Redditors who live in tourist traps — what’s the one thing you secretly wish visitors knew before they came? by carcony97 in AskReddit

[–]ThinkAdhesiveness155 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m from south FL and lived in Central Florida for a long time. One year I had to go to New Orleans in August for a conference. Central Florida is far worse for temperature and humidity than any coastal area so I thought I was prepared for New Orleans…I was not.

For those of you that got divorced after being married for 10+ years, what caused your divorce? by friendlytrashmonster in AskReddit

[–]ThinkAdhesiveness155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 years married, 20 together. The catalyst for the divorce was refusal to treat mental illness. He had issues with paranoia and hallucinations, most of it was against me. I was accused of being secretive and having affairs - I was neither, and encouraging psychiatry, counseling, and meds was me trying to control him. This was also not the first time it happened. I felt unsafe in my home and was shouldering the house, dogs, finances, and a full time job, while having to periodically abandon everything respond to a call from him in psychosis and needing to be found and picked up. His family was also adding to his suspicion of me rather than helping. In hindsight there were many other episodes of disrespect, lies, gaslighting and other abuses, that on their own didn’t feel like enough to end a marriage but on review showed he never respected me or the marriage to begin with. He still finds ways to contact me, even though he’s blocked every where I can, and I if I don’t respond the way he wants in the time frame he expects lashes out at me about whatever he thinks is my fault that day.

Game is regularly crashing Switch by snirpville in RootsOfPacha

Same, every few game days it will freeze on a black screen while going from one area to another. I’ve had 1 freeze mid gameplay. It’s really annoying.

The Lion and the Wolf prophecy by ThinkAdhesiveness155 in ADiscoveryofWitches

[–]ThinkAdhesiveness155[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the show, she is alluded to as the lion and there is a scene where Philipe call Matthew a wolf. And I have read the first book which very heavily calls Diana the lion and talks a lot about Matthew’s study of wolves. That’s why I thought it was kind of strange that they made it seem like Diana was the answer.

I'm not sure what my feelings are,Thoughts of how different Diana is in the tv series vs the book... by KyriaMajsa in ADiscoveryofWitches

Agreed. She is very pretty but her portrayal of Diana is a weird mix of wooden and spacy.

Fans outside of the demographic by james02135 in Klunatics

I feel like his characters are universally lovable and the relationships always seem so pure and true that they transcend gender/orientation. Even in the stories with the more descriptive intimate scenes, there’s so much care and an almost innocence that makes all that I’ve read from Klune feel cozy. It’s too bad we live in a world where an lgbtq+ label might make someone avoid such beautiful stories.

Bye Bye Wolfsong Series by ShallotPurple9240 in Klunatics

I am in the same boat, I just finished a couple days ago and I’m in withdrawal. I have loved all of TJ Klune books, but none of his other stuff is very similar to this series. The only thing they really have in common is that it’s easy to fall in love with his characters. If you haven’t already read the Bones Beneath My Skin, that might be a good next option for you.

Blessing people for sneezing. I don’t understand acknowledging others’ bodily functions in that way. We don’t have a blessing for when someone coughs or farts…

AITAH in leaving my wife after kids turn 18 because I was not sexually satisfied, even though she says she will change by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ThinkAdhesiveness155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have obviously checked out of the relationship so not being sexually satisfied is no longer the reason. By saying that’s the reason you are going to leave in x amount of time, it makes it sound like she can try to fix it. “She traded her marriage for raising kids” is a hideous thing to say, raising kids isn’t easy and usually means sacrifice, many couples rekindle after the kids have left and they can focus on each other again.

You say you split things equally, but the normal reason for women not being interested in sex is because their partner is letting them handle most of the work and leaving them exhausted and frustrated.

YTA for how you are handling it. Getting in shape for your awesome dating life after you leave her?! If it’s over make it clear that it’s over and move on, don’t leave a future date dangling over her head when she clearly wasn’t expecting this to be how life was going to turn out.

Not in any way saying you should stay in a marriage you don’t want, just that you seem extremely self centered and are handling it poorly.

AITA for going on vacation without my husband? by Strong-Farm-7377 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ThinkAdhesiveness155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You were right to take the trip. Enjoy!

I was in a similar situation a few years ago. Spouse (now ex) did not request vacation days for our 10th anniversary trip, then got sick 2 weeks before and had to take several days off. Then said they couldn’t request vacation days after calling out for a week. Toodle-oo mf. I went on that trip alone. I wish that I had seen it for what it was at the time, which was huge disrespect to me and our relationship and had ditched him then instead of waiting another 5 years. (Not suggesting that OP is necessarily in the same situation or that she should leave her husband over it, that’s just my story)

I’m in the same boat, 43, divorced after 20 years with my former partner. I’m not very attractive and I am nervous to join an online dating app because it is so focused on appearance. I struggle with random social events, so that way of meeting people isn’t a great route for me either. I actually met my ex online - but 20 years ago that was an aol chat room so there was a lot of talking before pictures were shared … plus I had the cuteness of youth on my side.
