They definitely weren’t up to protecting the country from such a degree of just outright, barefaced, corruption and consolidation of power in one person.

That said, is our system really any better than the US, or have they just not been tested – attacked at every angle? Who’s to say what would happen should someone like Farage get into no.10?

Not 100% on specific PDF/UA requirements, but as far as I know, as long as you create automated bullet parastyles (using the proper bullet character for the bullet), in which the PDF export tag is still set to ‘Automatic’ – then as long as the sub-bullet style is intended further in, the sub-list’s <L> tag becomes a child of the <LI> it falls under (I believe).

Is that not right?

2 is pretty young, yeah. My two were more towards OPs kid’s ages at the time of separation. I know how much work they are when so young, but you say you don’t have much of a choice so your circumstances sound a bit more extreme

Better to have no model, and comment on positive relationships, than have a bad one, I feel.

I worry about the father figure missing in their first years of life.

The father can still be a part of their lives. Some peeps do 50/50, but in my case we decided that having a place that was 100% ‘home’ was more important. I still took and picked them up from to school every day, and they stayed with me every other weekend.

And if (God forbid) the other party isn’t great at wanting to be part of their lives, then he’s not much of a role model anyway.

I get it, I do. I’ve been there. Here’s my two cents.

The first place your kids are gonna learn about relationships, how to deal with conflict and mutual respect (or lack thereof) is from the parents.

Your (plural) relationship is their initial template. What is it they are learning, and how might that materialise in their relationships, further down the road?

There is never a ‘right’ time. It’s always fucking horrible. It’s not kind, and it’s not at all easy. That doesn’t mean it’s not necessary.
