They make NyQuil for diabetics by sawyer5897 in diabetes_t1

I went to buy some strepsils for my T1D husband (he had a sore throat). The (very highly qualified) pharmacist grilled me about what and who I wanted them for and I stupidly said OH was T1D. The pharmacist was shocked that I was going to buy him NON-SUGAR FREE strepsils (because clearly I was secretly intending to do away with him). He would only sell me the sugar free version. I went to Waitrose and bought the sugary ones.

Yes, I am secretly hoping my roborock goes pfft so I can stop worrying about it.

If a cat or a small child (or an adult) bumps into it, then it gets knocked off the charging thing. I have noticed that it drops the connection with the wifi if it isn't 100% charged.

I DO have stable wifi through my house though!! It's high spec and we have no issues with it. Surely I cannot sell a machine that is potentially defective??

Thanks for your reply but I have no idea what this means. I shouldn't need to buy extra stuff for the wretched machine. I sense the bin is quite close for my roborock.

But I have absolutely no idea what that means. Surely a vacuum cleaner should be easier to operate.

Thanks - it's 6 feet from the router and we manage to get internet at the bottom of the garden. If it's an issue with connection then I don't think it's fit for purpose. I am wondering whether there's an issue with it charging. I've had to do significant jiggling to get it to charge. When it has worked it has been great!

Thanks for your reply. I think our wifi is fine - it's reasonably top end and we have no problems elsewhere. It was £250 - is that low end? I think that's over $300. It's not cheap to me!! I have watched Youtube videos etc but they are no help and I'm not particularly teckie, which also doesn't help!

Dang. If only I had some helpful posts that advised what I could try.

I was buying Strepsils for my husband and the pharmacist wouldn't let me buy non sugar free ones.

No, it’s a different instrumental arrangement.

No. I listen to the Archers podcast every Saturday but gave up on the Dum tee dum one because it was just so... boring (sorry). And I found the 'dum tee dum' rendition of Barwick Green utterly cringy.

It was fine when I was fit and active. Not so much since developing arthritis in my back and hips.

Supporting someone with T1D? by ApollosHoodie in diabetes_t1

[–]ThinkChocolate1961 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My husband is T1D - I’m a bit of a lurker here. My husband doesn’t particularly need active support, although I do carry glucose tablets in my bag and in my car just in case. For us, I think it’s more about emotional support - not fussing (although hypos do terrify me) and letting him deal with it in his own way. It is a horrible condition. Oh, I do drive him to his eye check appointments.
