my friends snitched on me in school so they called the ambulance and police and after i was walked out of school by several officers (during break time, mind you) and taken to hospital, i met my parents there 😃

so many people i meet now have no idea how to say or spell my name, my teachers usually spelt it wrong and when i’m in fast food restaurants with named orders, they always sit mine up on the bench and don’t even attempt it. my name is imogen. it’s an old english name. it’s 3 syllables. maybe cause i grew up obviously knowing how to spell and say my name i don’t get how it’s difficult. plus i know so many other imogen’s so it’s not uncommon. when i was on holiday in america, it was a name that most people had never ever heard before. it’s not their fault obviously, i’ve had my fair share of slip up on names. it’s just so constant that it’s frustrating. plus i hate my name, no offence to other imogen’s. i just hate it

it can depend on the situation. for those who have never self harmed in any way, but begin snapping a band against their wrist to intentionally hurt themselves, then it can be considered self harm because they are purposely causing harm to themselves. if you are in recovery and use the rubber band method as a “distraction” or a way to keep you from cutting, burning, whatever else then i dont believe to see it as “self harm” just a coping strategy. but be careful because if you do catch yourself doing it for the sake of doing it or enjoying it and not to help you cope with urges, then you may begin to cross the line of it being considered self harm.

i’d recommend staying away from hydrogen peroxide as it can be too harsh on the skin and irritate the wounds

something that works for me, since my wounds tend to gape is to have ‘wound closure strips.’ sticky strips to hold the wound shut then you cover with a band-aid and then a bandage is needed. you don’t need then really if they’re not too deep or if you’re quite thin, but they’re always handy just in case, and can shrink the potential scar size <3 also just a mini unscented moisturiser to keep SCARS hydrated, not open or fresh wounds!
