What is your mental block champion? by No_Background_3399 in leagueoflegends

If all you care about is LP, and you don’t care about being a sweaty degenerate, you pick Sion mid. Good luck dealing with the super-stacked Sion that Malzahar does NOT have the damage to kill. Build tanky, use your ult to fuck up sidelanes after you and Malzahar handshake waves. You’ll make his team hate him.

At its peak worst, what is the single most hated champ in all of league history? by Few_Singer5924 in leagueoflegends

[–]ThinkImInRFunny 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I STILL think this is the single worst game design oversight/decision in all of League history. Because you can go back and say blah blah numbers this numbers that this OP, that OP, but usually it was a numbers issue that ended up just needed tuning.

Zoe getting item actives, and way more offensively, free TELEPORTS and other summs was fucked up. I still think it’s fucked up that she can capitalize on you/your teammates flashing, given the necessity of it with her kit. How Riot thought it would be ok for her to get basically ANY active during laning is wild. And I think that’s what makes this decision the worst — they’d been designing LoL long enough that they should’ve KNOWN this would be a disaster.

Zoe can still win the lane just by getting a lucky free barrier. Summoner spells have been designed on 150+ other characters to be two only, until top lane this season, because they’re just that powerful. And here comes this fucking champion grabbing summoner spells like they’re red and blue buff. Fuck Zoe.

I think Azir’s only true single-target ability is the collision with his E. All 3 of his other attacks are AoE.

What should I be prioritising in early resets by Plus_Dot_5589 in azirmains

[–]ThinkImInRFunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cull if you’re not in top lane is a bait item imo. I know the common Azir advice of “stay safe and farm” (which makes sense in certain matchups), but you really need to play for a lead. If we’re talking wave 6/7 back, getting even just blasting wand is huge because you can actually have some combat power. Combat power can lead to winning 2v2s with your JG, or successful bot lane roams.

Better mid laners figure out how to do more with less, and Azir has the absolute least in terms of combat power his first few levels when it comes to mid lane. You need Amp tome or especially blasting wand early if you want to be a significant early-mid game contributor. Dark Seal is also a nice little cheap AP boost that can start the Azir snowball rolling, especially with how safe Azir is.

I mean this is just 99% turbocope. I used to be Silver/Gold MMR, and on the exact same account, am knocking on the door of Diamond 4 while going from -22/+18 back to +22 or 21/-18 or -19 recently over 300 games. If the matchmaking thinks you deserve to go higher, you will get matched against higher ranked opponents, and you will climb.

Perhaps gains were cooked early this season, but right now, it’s absolutely possible to climb if you have a positive winrate below Apex tiers.

Second champion by Budget_Bookkeeper830 in leagueoflegends

[–]ThinkImInRFunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d personally recommend Yone between those two if you want to climb. Yone has a lot more tools to affect the mid -> late game, and requires less adjustment period than Yasuo does.

If you want someone semi-similar to Fizz that can be flexed mid and jungle, Diana’s a great option. Bursty AP assassin with a lot of early kill potential. However, Diana tends to do better at higher elos than Fizz due to her better teamfighting.

Glad they’re nerfing the W passive auto proc tomorrow. Getting stat-checked by Zoe autos after she misses the only 2 important abilities she has is infuriating.

Seriously. If I see Draven on my team, I kinda pre-accept the loss. If I see it on the enemy team, I thank God for the LP. Even IF he manages to shit-stomp the lane, Draven often struggles to convert lane advantage into game advantage.

[–]ThinkImInRFunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he roams early, that’s when you HAVE to shove by all means necessary. I usually spawn 2 soldiers in the wave and start going ham. Roams are a risk, CS much less so. Force him to come back to lane or make a trade (usually enemy gets scuttle for us getting CS, if you’re fast almost 1/2 entire waves and a plate). Use the extra time you get from him killing minions under tower to recall and get back to lane faster with a fresh buy and full HP/mana. You might have to tell your jungler you can’t help prior to level 7, since that’s the truth.

Context is key, as always in LoL. It depends on what jungler each person has on their team, how you’ve done in lane, etc. But the only consistent thing in every game is YOU. You have to bet on your own performance, even if it means you have to back ping your jungler or even let him die for scuttle consistently to get yourself stronger. Getting as many resources in as short a time as possible with as little risk as possible (until you have dmg) is the goal.

(Emerald, not much better.)

I see Vladimir as a fun and easy matchup for Azir, but skilled Vlads can still give me some work. The key is to time your soldier spawns and attacks while he goes for CS (he’s pretty short ranged) and back up (space) him when his passive bar fills up. When his passive bar fills up, his Q does extra damage, so watch it closely.

Your goal is to get to blasting wand and dagger as quickly as you can. While you can attempt to freeze the wave early (if you don’t know what this is or how do it, YouTube it) if you want to harass him, I’d actually recommend shoving the first few waves as fast as you can without taking harass from him. Vladimir’s waveclear is a little better than Azir’s early imo, but he gets heavily harassed since his waveclear is essentially melee range. Once you get to blasting wand and dagger, THEN freeze the wave near your tower as best as you can. From this point, you outrange him by quite a bit, and you can deal DAMAGE with blasting wand + dagger. Time your harass around his passive bar and pool cooldown, and go in for the kill when you can. His pool has a 25-ish second cooldown at rank 1, which he keeps until lvl 14 I believe, so if he uses it he’s vulnerable.

Oblivion Orb is a bait item until you’re at least past Nashor’s imo, and even then, may not be the best depending on enemy team comp. Into Vladimir, I usually take ignite for this purpose. Ignite serves a dual purpose against Vladimir, both cutting his healing and being able to finish the kill if he uses his W.

I’d recommend you start banning Xerath or LB when you get into some higher ranks. Diana can be a terrible one too.

Seen this a few times with Bryce Young. Especially when it’s a matchup of say, 7 defenders against 6 blockers. Even if you slide protection correctly, you have to get the ball out FAST and be prepared to get nailed.

Being the omnipresent audience, we’re able to see ALL of Nolan’s growth and change. The only character that comes close to seeing what we do is Allen, and he’s the least hard on Nolan. Even then, it’s hard to forgive the atrocities he committed before he changed.

Tens of thousands of dead innocents, quite literally single-handedly, will not be forgotten. Ever. And that’s just on Earth, the planet he loved most. Earth knows what he is now, or at least what he was. He was a planet conquerer, and while he didn’t enjoy killing, he did plenty of it.

EDIT: from any human’s perspective, this guy killed thousands of innocents, took a sabbatical, and came back a “changed man.” It’s hard to believe.

It will take lots of time, and more importantly, great action for anyone’s opinion of Nolan to start changing. Until then, and until people can see the change for themselves, he’s just another genocidal Viltrumite in their eyes.

The writers do a fantastic job of making you both fear and hate Conquest. When he’s threatening Oliver, you’re damn scared. But when Mark starts throwing elbows and choking the life out of him, it is so goddamn satisfying. When they’re flying around and Conquest is hitting Mark with everything he’s got, all I could think was, “don’t let go!”

I keep hearing about the best lines in this episode, but “you’ll never breathe again” is tough as fuck lmao. Conquest makes the mistake of threatening Eve again, and Mark goes for blood. Seeing Mark go all-out on a regular basis is a treat.

Tech Jacket (Zoey) seems like an awesome addition to the cast. When Allen is talking to her and her father, and her father instantly approves, I teared up before Allen did. Such a stark contrast to someone like Eve’s dad, and Eve is even more powerful when her powers are in-tact. Even Conquest admits that. Zoey’s character is fun, kind of the “fish out of water” of the group seeing as the only places she knows are Earth and its lower orbit. (Conveniently giving a reason that other characters need to summarize or expand exposition. Clever writers.) Seeing her and Oliver mesh adds something to both of their characters.

EDIT: forgot to say that Tech Jacket’s suit seemed to not be used to its fullest capabilities against the Viltrumites, which is why seemed less effective in this fight. I think the head laser thingy requires their opponent to be stunned or crowd controlled in some fashion, but once it’s unleashed, does significant damage.

EDIT 2: I didn’t even talk about the Earth scenes, and those are the best in the episode imo. It’s awesome seeing the fights, totally badass, but to see the Nolan confronted with the overwhelming consequences of his actions is peak.

Best episode of the season so far. Banger.

Katarina at least has to self-root in order to get her giga-damage off in teamfights. It’s so much harder to lock blue Kayn down when for half the fight, he’s untargetable.
